For me I have no problem with Kitkat in my N9005 whatsoever.
I will never go back to JB.
All the apps I am using can write onto the external memory card.
nimz, 11 May 2014Hi to all, I have been using Note series but after recent update to android 4.4.2 the battery... moreBattery will need to calibrate after a few more use.
4.3 can be reverted back by downloading the firmware and installing with Odin... but not advisable if you don't want to void your warranty, or are not sure how to do it.
You could ask the Samsung center to revert it back if you're still under warranty.
4.3 was good enough. Had no complaints, and everything worked as it should. 4.4.2 brings a bit of an update with some latest apps working for this update like Google camera and Samsung SideSync to remote your Note 3 with your PC - but that's it and nothing much else. My biggest problem with the update is some apps can't write onto the external memory.
nimz, 11 May 2014Hi to all, I have been using Note series but after recent update to android 4.4.2 the battery... moreTrue.
To enable any app in pen window there's a little app in Playstore called MW-Pen App enabler. But for it you have to uninstall the app you want and re-install through this app.
All without root, doesn't work with stock apps.
For the battery drain there's no solution yet.
Hi to all, I have been using Note series but after recent update to android 4.4.2 the battery performance has been a disappointment. Earlier in android jellybean 4.3 the battery discharge was slower as compared to how it is after kitkat update. RAM usage when idle is more than how it was in android 4.3
Is it possible to roll back to Jellybean 4.3 as I find it much better. I dont find anything special in kitkat 4.4.2.
One more thing people might not have noticed, after the kitkat update, the PEN window doesnt have Whatsapp. In android 4.3 there was whatsapp in pen window. Plz update the kitkat version with these changes.
Battery draining very fast.
Mine,my sister one and my wife's. One all problems with camera...it take time process the photo any untishake issue.
i'm cnfusd whch phne to take!!!!
my budget is 30000
pls advice guys
I've flashed my Note 3 from the original 4.3 to the 4.4.2 ROM a week ago.
*Some apps cannot write to the external memory.
*New apps like the new Google camera can be installed.
Everything else is cosmetic - keyboard color changed to darker background, camera icon launcher from the lock screen. Battery life has no noticeable difference from before.
It's not a major step up from the 4.3. Losing the the write/syncing to external memory is annoying as I can't backup with Titanium or use Astro.
Are all Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 LTE/4G enabled? In my N9005 I didn't find any info regarding LTE. Only in the Box it is written that it's got LTE. I'm from Bangladesh and here no 4g network. Confused. Can somebody help? Oh....My box and other documentation are written in French.
One thing more that my 2 years old HTC Sensation XE has the LTE and in it's network mode you'll find LTE. How?

If you like large screen , best performance and no laggy, Xperia T2 ult... moreT2 is a mid-ranged smartphone:
*Glossy PLASTIC back. Ew.
*Only 4.3 GB of user internal memory. Ew.
*1GB RAM means limited multi-functions.
*Old chipset Snapdragon 400.
*Graphics Processing is only good at medium setting for higher demanding games. Ew.
*NOT a dual SIM active, just a dual standby for the dual SIM version.
*The display is only 720 x 1280 pixels.
Every aspect above, the Note 3 can super outdo. You CANNOT be comparing a high end device to your budget phone.
True, the T2 Ultra's battery and screen viewing angle is a great improvement from even from the Xperia Z, Z1 and Z Ultra. But to argue the T2's LCD viewing angle is better than the Note 3- utter BS.
"The Note 3 has changed that in a big way…it’s an impressive 55 percent brighter than the Note II and a solid 25 percent brighter than the Galaxy S4. For most image content it provides over 400 cd/m2, comparable or higher than most LCD displays in this size class. Even more impressive is that when Automatic Brightness is turned on, the Note 3 hits an incredible 660 cd/m2 in high ambient light..."
"The Galaxy Note 3 has 5 user selectable Screen Modes: Adapt Display, Dynamic, Standard, Professional Photo, and Movie, which we discuss below and include measurements for several Modes. The Screen Modes require the implementation of Color Management to adjust the native Color Gamut of the display plus additional factory calibration for each Mode."
"While LCDs typically experience a 55 percent or greater decrease in brightness at a 30 degree Viewing Angle, the Note 3 shows a much smaller 22 percent decrease in brightness at 30 degrees. This also applies to multiple side-by-side viewers as well, and is a significant advantage for OLED displays."
"The Note 3 Movie Mode delivers the most accurate Color and White Point calibration for the Standard sRGB/Rec.709 consumer content that is used for virtually all digital camera, HDTV, internet, and computer content, including photos and videos. Use the Movie Mode for the best color and image accuracy. The measured Absolute Color Accuracy for the Movie Mode is an excellent 3.1 JNCD. See this Figure for an explanation of JNCD. The Adapt Display Mode is the default mode for the Galaxy Note 3 – it provides adaptive image processing and delivers higher color saturation, which appeals to some, and is also a better choice for high ambient light viewing conditions, which wash out image colors and contrast. This mode is very similar to the Professional Photo Mode, but has a more bluish White Point."
Tcool, 11 May 2014Nothing more.Friend Tcool, I had ordered 32gb, Lte 9005 black! Will receive it in 5 days time! I'm very much exited!
This is my first phone with no NOKIA tag! As well as my first Android phone! I was an ardent fan of NOKIA since 2004. After the Microsoft deal, I got angry on NOKIA and sold away all my N & E series phones. But I have the 808, 41mp phone. I'll keep it as I love photography!
Tcool, 11 May 2014Nothing more.Following difference between 3g and 4g models of Note 3, its worth going for 4g model.
N9000 vs N9005
1.9ghz VS 2.3ghz
9.5 vs 9.6
9.1 vs 9.6
System on Chip
Samsung Exynos 5 (Octa 5420) vs Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (8974)
1.9 GHz, ARM Cortex A15 VS 2.3 GHz, ARM Krait 400
600 MHz, ARM Mali-T628 MP6 VS 450 MHz, Qualcomm Adreno 330
1920 x 1080 @ 30 fps VS 3840 x 2160 @ 30 fps (4K Video)
3G, HSDPA (42.2 Mb/s) VS 4G, LTE (150 Mb/s)
Always the fore front in term of built n spec in the Note series. Overall performance is excellent. Good job to Samsung. However this is not so with S5. Why 5.1" screen instead of 5.25"? This what people call the term 'alang alang'? Price wise also not cheap.
AnonD-170479, 10 May 2014Now that's cool yes Galaxy have so many operations going on that is why it might lag.
But s... moreYes iOS is expensive!
If you like large screen , best performance and no laggy, Xperia T2 ultra is a wise choice
Moreover, T2 has affordable price tag and is slimmer and smarter than note3
, Note3 lacks wider viewing angle
You can learn 30% brightness in T2 and note3 side by side
Of course, note3 oversaturated extreme colour persuade us that note3 seems wide viewing angle
If you love premium ,Z2 and m8 is the best in price & performance
