The AirDrop app installed on the Note 3 will let you be able to monitor your device via a browser on your PC or laptop. You can directly do SMS, browse the content and if you get the paid services you can completely remote your Android device via any Windows or Android device browser. It doesn't work with iOS' Safari browser as I suspect this is blocked.
I personally use this as I place my Note 3 near the Window with the best LTE signal. My LTE unlimited service actually is a whole lot faster than my lined service. My work station is in the next room.
Another app to keep your signal on to LTE is LTEdiscovery which the paid version cycles signal back to LTE automatically.
Since i update my note 3 to 4.4.2 KitKat,my note 3 sometimes restart by it self, anyone can help me?

I've used this with fellow architects in drawing out details, and the useful screen shot would give use instant copies of the mark-ups.
Just a bit of imagination can do wonders. I'm glad I have this option.

A 5.7" screen is ideal for multi-tasking with multi windows and a Wacom digitizer that Apple is making some iteration of.
Tcool, 03 Feb 2014To make it short and simple... iPhone is just an overpriced basic phone..... which is tied at the hip to a terrible program called iTunes (KILL IT WITH FIRE!)
gijoe, 02 Feb 2014and thats what apple is. simple phone for a simple user.with a price not worth the features.
Anonymous, 02 Feb 2014To make it short and simple...
I do bother to(everyone does) have more than what an iPhone ... moreAndroid is all about customization. You can make thing really simple or clustered. I use an application called SwipePad to launch applications from any operation by just swiping from a top corner. I leave my screen only with a clock widget and 4 on screen shortcuts.
An iPhone is all about simplicity - a touch screen music player with phone functions. Apple restrictions are there:no intentional torrent downloads for battery conservation, forces you to only buy media from their iTunes store, non-removable battery for a smaller body, and not so easy to share files to force you use cloud storage with a limited file size.
You get almost no malware for the system, but you'll miss new mobile innovations like swipe keyboard input for faster typing, transfer gigabytes of data faster, able to connect to a majority of other devices, deep plug-in customization by using Tasker to fit how you want your device to behave at certain triggers, and a sleuth of so many other things as per device, like a Note 3 with a Wacom digitizer, personally useful for drawing.
By the way, iPhone's "Retina" screen is an IPS LCD. Galaxy S and Note series use Super AMOLED screens. Big difference in technologies whereby Super AMOLED screen produce better contrasts and render truer blacks than an iPhone rendering them at dark grays. Test have shown that colors of AMOLEDs can now be close to true renditions than before.
Hover preview with a finger over your email box without opening any is pretty practical and not a fancy boastful trick. I bet that's not something you'd complain about if you had it in your iPhone. It's like hovering your more cursor on windows and gives you a pop-up box to give you more info.
USB 3.0 transfers data up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0. That's a big difference there. One of the things I do since I load up HD movies onto my 64GB micro SD card. So it's way faster without waiting more to load.
Multi screen windows have been such a big relief for me, like jotting notes with the S Note using the S Pen, while I look at info over the internet or video demonstration. Or copying pictures or text from one application to another by dragging. Or watching a video (like music videos from Youtube) to keep yourself awake (stimulating your right brain) while doing your spreadsheets (left brain function). If you're talking about productivity in your pocket, a Galaxy Note is a way to go.
It's like buying an Alienware laptop which runs Windows than getting the Apple Mac Pro laptop (at a more expensive price too). You even need to bootcamp the Mac with Windows just so you get to use the most widely used software applications in the World. Use a Mac entirely on its own, you only get to use what it has to offer - no full PC games (yeah, overheats and crashes the machine, and limited productivity programs, so you can claim it's (almost) virus free.
Android premium devices like the Galaxy Note 3 are smoothly usable, and stable, but not entirely. iPhones are NOT 100% stable and do crash. Nothing is flawless.
I'm sure you have convinced some to switch to the iPhone with your arguments. Hey, if the iPhone works for you, then that's all you need. But some of us want and need a Galaxy Note 3, and not some limited device you like to defend.

Anonymous, 02 Feb 2014To make it short and simple... I do bother to(everyone does) have more than what an iPhone ... moreRetina display is just gimmick , iPhone 4 has natural colour but iPhone 5 and 5s comes with more saturated colour screens. Note3 and s4 has best oled displays .According to display mate note3 is brightest screen ever produced.
Note 3 is way superior over iPhone 5s. iPhone is too simple and lacks lot of useful features that Note 3 can offer.
TheNeighbor, 02 Feb 2014Exactly, you don't bother to have more features than what an iPhone has to offer. Limited and ... moreTo make it short and simple...
I do bother to(everyone does) have more than what an iPhone could give...
Its just that i don't want to get it from Android...
I have my deepest gratitude towards all the companies for healthy competition to bring out the best in each other...
I allow simplicity in my day to day life so that i can concentrate my wits on expanding my horizons rather than uselessly complicating life like Android does...
I am open with Active Digitizer...
DLNA (though developed by Sony) is extensively revolutionized by Samsung just like How touch screens were by Apple...
Reread your own comment for even HD is just a name while what i said was for the excellent color reproduction just like in Retina display...still even S4 suffers with it...
agreed with direct WiFi and bluetooth...as well as OTG USB...
But also ok with Apple tv...
That hovering thing is simply needed for people who are just used to cluttered boxes...or fancy boastfulness...
I said i don't even care to do that, u can say whatever u want...
Are you just making up your own mind or got seriously got defensive...?
Technologically challenged ??!
Is that how you see people who don't share your innate passion for complications...??!
Not sure bout USB 3 but i will get back to you...
Don't you see any difference in better organizing stuff and simply having two things doing the same things albeit rather lamely...
Ya so what??!
Android cannot make its phones smoothly usable and stable to start with...check your background first than build something on it...
Just few hours of use ,Superb screen , audio quality is excellent (via headset ) note 3 is unbeatable. But iam happy with my s4.
Anonymous, 02 Feb 2014.....
Does it have memory expansion?
- get over it
Does it have an active digitizer?
-... moreExactly, you don't bother to have more features than what an iPhone has to offer. Limited and restricted. Small and short battery life. Simplified and it shows how you want it that way without know how things work. You should be thankful for Android developers - a lot of the "new" features of iOS6/7 like pull up/down menus, panoramic camera shots, direct Wi-Fi or Bluetooth transfers known to you as Airdrop, and animated background.
And you still didn't get some of the points I listed like:
Active digitizer - this is the Wacom pen system that is used for the S Pen in giving pressure sensitive inputs. Steve Jobs dismissed the entire concept of stylus in 2007, saying you'd lose it. Well, lo and behold, Apple just patented something similar, taking cues from Samsung and Wacom.
Retina display is only 640 by 1136. It's basically an LCD display. Full HD is 1080 by 1920. More density, much more finer. Apple had to give it a name for anyone who don't know better. "Oh, only the iPhone has Retina!". Amazing. It doesn't "beat down any HD screen till date".
Wifi/bluetooth is somehow now possible only with iPhone 5/5s only. Working around it would mean waiting to upload a big file over cloud and waiting again to download it in another device. Or you need to have a PC to mediate. It's 2014, and you like doing this?
DNLA or Digital Living Network Alliance was established by Sony. It's a system for wireless playing of media content to tv or other devices. It's not limited Samsung's system.
Direct wifi connection to other computers can't be done without an Apple Airport or Apple TV. I can do that without special routers or devices directly via any ordinary WLAN network.
Loading or managing music can be done by directly plugging an HDD (rooted) or USB flash drive to a Note 3.
Hover previewing contents of email is pretty darn useful without ever to open them. Very helpful if you are quickly looking for something fast. You can easily find a particular scene in a movie with this.
Name us one "..there are lots of features in apple u wont even know without" using a swiping gestures for keyboard input.
Swiping down to reveal your setting options with one or two is a gesture command in the most recent iOS7. You just stated it to be useless without knowing you are already using it. There are actually lots more gestures. Another feature copied from Android. You just shot your foot.
Multi windows "...unbearable even on an 21" desktop..." You must really are technologically challenged.
"lightning port does it better"? USB 3.0 can transfer up to 10 times the speed for content. Lightning port can't replicate that. How is it better?
"lol who wants a second menu...!!" Well, the iPhone folder menu is a sort of second menu. You just shot your foot again.
Download media of torrents sites isn't intended by Apple.
Android can do whatever iOS can do. Not the other way around. Get over it.
