To start out, based on GSM Arena, the iPhone 5s has an endurance time of 54H. According to them, "This means that you will only need to charge it once every 54 hours if you use it for an hour of web browsing, an hour of video playback and an hour of talk time per day. Just for a comparison, the iPhone 5 scored an endurance rating of 51 hours."
The other review site pegged the iPhone 5s with a continuous usage time of 5 hours 2 minute. According to them, "We measure battery life by running a custom web-script, designed to replicate the power consumption of typical real-life usage."
Shall we compare it against the "high end and large size of battery capacity of other devices"?
Motorola RAZR MAXX (2012) - 87 hours(GSM Arena Endurance)/6H 51M (Other site's continuous usage)
HTC One Max - 81 hours(GSM Arena Endurance)/7H 27M(Other site's continuous usage)
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - 75 hours(GSM Arena Endurance)/6H 8M(Other site's continuous usage)
Sony Xperia C - 68 hours(GSM Arena Endurance)/8H 44M(Other site's continuous usage)
LG G2 - 62 hours(GSM Arena Endurance)/6H 48M(Other site's continuous usage)
Sony Xperia Z1 - 53 hours(GSM Arena Endurance)/4H 43M(Other site's continuous usage)
The iPhone 5s only beats the Xperia Z1 by 1 hour of endurance testing, and 18 minutes of continuous usage time.
These are facts. You can't just rely on the information based on browsing on a wifi connection to saying to us that an iPhone can last better than the high end competition.
Am I biased using these factual tests? Oh freaking yes, I am! It'd be quite illogical to go for something that has a mediocre performing battery. I choose the Note 3 with a higher endurance usage rate any time over an iPhone!
AnonD-77892, 28 Jan 2014Your so really wrong from that point! iPhone 5S beats most of the high end and large size of b... moreThat's via wifi for the internet browsing. I'm talking about 4G LTE. I have an unlimited LTE so that I wouldn't rely on wifi or plugging in for power. I find my carrier's LTE service even faster than my cable service, being able to download anything 2 to 3 times faster than before.
In another phone review site (I'm not allowed to mention it or post a link here), and them using a testing program it was considered average with just above 5 hours of battery usage, compared to a Note 3 of above 6 hours. The site said, " The iPhone 5s scored a respectable 5 hours and 2 minutes. That’s exactly the time you should expect your phone to last if you use it non-stop, the way you usually would."
iP5s can last a day of moderate usage on 4G of 12 hours. Way less if you actually have social or internet notifications on all the time. But for someone like me, I'm home after 14 to 16 hours outside. I have colleagues who keep charging their iPhones about after lunch time. A big hassle to wait an hour or two with a fixed battery. You could have just changed it in less than a minute to get 100% charge if it was removable.
And with your device,an iPhone 5c, they said:
"After a year of having the iPhone 5 around, you’d think that the folks over at Apple would drastically improve battery life with its replacement in the iPhone 5s. Unfortunately, that’s not the case, since we don’t find its performance any different. In fact, a fully charged battery permits us a single day of normal usage – or roughly 12 hours with heavier operation. All told, it’s nothing more than average at the end of the day."
I just don't only read GSM Arena's reviews.

Here is the link to complete your knowledge about power test:
its not all about the amount of capacity that Samsung tells you! But it's also about the real time usage!
Hay ..can somebody pliz tell me how much the note 3 have free RAM approximately?
AnonD-201872, 27 Jan 2014brick phones were not in 2007 there were blackberries with their current look like the curve 8... moreYou're right. When I first heard of the first iPhone, I was thinking why would anyone get it when it's locked on AT&T? The iPhone 3G was the device to beat at its generation. And the rest, 4, 4s, 5, 5c and now 5s could not keep up with the competition with better features and versatility. I also find it odd to see people queuing up for days just to get a device that's features limited and has lots of restrictions.
@ Abbadon, I can't be compelled to get an iPhone for just a finger print scanner, or an unusable 64 bit processing, and with a small battery for a LTE network. Steve Jobs never intended it for LTE. I don't like carrying a charger or a power bank or cut down my usage so I can get through the day with that measly minuscule you call an internal battery. Jailbreaking one is as limited too.
Why in the world would I go for something I know I can't do so much? I'm someone who likes to tinker with Taskers and Automate apps on my rooted Android for high customization beyond just skin UIs. Too complex? Then you can just stick with a non-root device. Want it easier? Switch to easy mode.
The point is, the Note 3 is the most full features Android device out on LTE. Big brilliant screen, Wacom digitizer, big replaceable battery, good camera, IR blaster, and it fits in the pocket. It's the only device some of us personally carry daily. A spare battery perhaps. No tablet to carry. No laptop to carry.

AnonD-77892, 27 Jan 2014Wow! what a waste of space and a very Long post you made just to down Apple and up Samsung her... moreYes, like on an Apple iPhone commentary page unlike in a Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
I own the Note3 since Nov-2013. It is an excellent smartphone, BUT - since the upgrade to Android 4.4.2, Samsung dropped the 2 way call recording. So, I can't record any call.
Kies s/w , latest version, isn't compatible with the Firmware either !!
Did they released a beta version. ? I got it via FOTA
Can anyone tell me the difference between the 4.3 and the 4.4 update, i can just see the notification bar change colour, ram difference and the camera shortcut on the lock screen and also the handset heats up more...
Any help would be appreciated.
