After 20 days the usb input did not work. Samsung service did not gave me a new phone but they opened the device and changed the usb part. I gave 799 € for a phone that in 20 days did not work . . . i will never buy Samsung again
Beware guys... there is a trap.
The below was my communication with the middle east samsung dealer.
I'm writing this mail to explain you how much me and my family suffered because of your regional lock facility.
Last week I bough a Samsung Note III from one of the shops in Saudi Arabia and presented to my wife as gift while she was traveling to India. when she landed in the airport and trying to use India Sim card which she already had, she was not able to call from the phone as it asked for regional unlock code.
She has struggled a lot with a small kid to request someone to help her call outside the airport. And afterwards I asked her to contact nearest Samsung dealer which is 300 Km from our native. She had tried for two times without getting a proper reply from Samsung dealers. She is still using the phone offline mode.
This made me think of the bad decision I took in the first place to buy a Samsung product. You guys have given such a hype in Saudi for promoting Note III which I unfortunately fell for.
You are indirectly telling your customers to buy a new phone every country they visit. I don't really understand in what way you can justify that.
I spent huge share of my salary to buy this product only to use its facilities, not to struggle with it. as I own the product after buying, Ethically and morally I should be allowed to use it wherever I want, especially a necessary gadget lie a cellphone.
if you want to restrict someway, don't restrict the main feature like calls at least.
I have found in some websites, even the Samsung dealers in other countries are not aware this so called feature.
I can tell from my personal experience, I will never ever proudly own a Samsung product.
If the problem is not corrected ASAP, I may discourage my friends & colleagues from buying Samsung product. I really don''''t want anyone to suffer like me.
Best of Luck with your new innovative idea - The Region Lock..
With lot of frustration,,
This is the reply I received

Tcool, 21 Nov 2013What a pity... It's like transferring from the mansion house to a shanty. Good luck...Nice. Nailed it again
I have note 3 sm n9005 but no 4g signal available. It has no LTE option,it reads WCDMA/GSM(auto connect)
I have been using the Note 3 for more than a month now and this is one great phablet! Yes, it does heat up if there are too many apps or you are doing alot of things. Example (Downloading + Hotspot + Browsing + Transferring files + watching movie at the same time) but it does not hang or slow down. It has so many features that I have not tried them all as of this time. I'd give it a 10/10.
Could you suggest good software to sync Note3 (contacts, msgs, data) with computer.

Tcool, 20 Nov 2013What do you mean by 5 minutes? Do you mean to just put the UAE sim card for 5 minutes and it ... moreAs samsung have said you should make at least 5 minutes voice call so it's gonna be unlocked ( it doesn't matter if you send or receive the call just make 5 minutes at least ;)
Hi, Bought note 3 N900 three weeks back & found it to be an amazing device. But then nothing can be a perfect phone.
while accessing some applications it says, "unfortunately android system is not working", several gimmicky features are restricted to limited apps, pairing with old bluetooth devices is difficult, samsung has cheated by not giving 4k video Recording facility for this model, no qualcomm snapdragon 800 too for this model( I mean why this disparity? Has Samsung peaked & now on a downfall?) , poor camera with minimum features(can't say about N9005 version) .
amazing display, amazing battery life, amazing speed, amazing call quality, amazing signal reception ability, amazing S-pen, device not as big as projected in many reviews rather easily pocketable.
I had an LG phone before and I feel it's a tough competitor & a rising star. Hope my views change as I exploit this machine more & more. Chances are less though.
Abhay Kacker, 20 Nov 2013Some questions 1. Which one to chose Nexus 5/Note 3? Insnt Note 3 not pocket friendly? 2. ... moreI had the Note II and chose the LG-G2 as a replacement. This was mainly because of screen and hardware issues with my Note II and the unclear issue with Samsung's region-locking of the Note 3.
