This purplist flickering is not a defect or a problem. Even you bring to service centre, it will not be fixed or change a new screen for you. It will not cause any damage to the phone or affect your eyes.
The lowest brightness may result to this purplish flickering even when auto brightness is off.
This happens when you scroll the page too fast and very fast, but I don't think you will do this when reading unless your purposely do it.
I'm very satisfied using note 3 neo.

Same prblm I faced wen 1st bought on 31st Dec'14..nxt day I took to service center & they did nothing just a software repair just on 2nd day..kept my fone fr 2days fr that..bt prblm nvr gone..
As sum1 suggested previously..remove the auto brightness..keep brightness fixed betn 55-60%(approx.) by scrolling the brightness bar..ur prblm won't be visible then..else no prblms till now..its a great device..don't know why its price is lesser than Note2!!

If so, deactivate the auto brightness. Hope it solves the problem. I have noticed that on auto bright mode the display usually lacks brightness but it doesn't blur or change colour!!!

soso vaiphei, 18 Jan 2015Yes you are rirght! It happen even to me when i am in some appsHlo Soso. Just restart after pulling out sim and mem card. I did the same on the advice of a friend on the forum and its alrigt now. But dear I have another observation, which has got nothing to do with the performance of the phone, regarding its size. At times I find it difficult to manage in pocket. Have to carry it like a new born baby. Otherwise its superb.
