Better compatibility for apps and material... moreAnd what about standby power draw...its kindda too much compared to kitkat....for note 3 neo lollipop is a failure...number of cons after upgradation easily outnumber the pros we get...and the performance of lollipop is much lower compared to the 1st update of kitkat in 2014

What I suggested about installing wake lock app is an app that keep the lockscreen active so that it will not lag or crash. The app will keep the lockscreen active even while screen is off so that's why it consume little power more but not actually noticeable.
Wake lock is NOT a lockscreen app. It's a utility app that keep the lockscreen awake.
I used to enabling power saving mode which fix the problem but i dont like it slow down the performance.
Power saving mode can do the job so do the wake lock app that I suggested.

Lollipop is the best version on note 3 neo overall. Better compatibility for apps and material design UI.
If you don't mind lockscreen issue on Lollipop by using some of our solution. That it is pretty worth to upgrade.

amrit, 11 Aug 2016On power saving mode.. then there is no issue of lag lockscreen...Yes turning on power saving mode will temporary fix that lockscreen lag issue and also save some power.
There is another way which is installing wake lock apps in play store and select partial wake lock BUT will consume average 5% of battery out of 100%. Good is that it doesn't drop your performance compare to power saving mode.

Now cyanogenmod 12.1 is available for Note 3 neo.If you want better coustomization please flash cyanogenmod.On future cyanogenmod 13 will also be available which is based on android 6.0.1
