When your finger blocked the light sensor beside the ear piece under a light source, it will eventually dim. Avoid placing your finger on the light sensor.
Light sensor is more effective under sunlight other than artificial light source. So switch off auto brightness when indoor.

You may try remove the battery, sim card and SD card (if have) and replace it back and restart, then perform a factory reset the phone. If problem is still persist, then you should insist for a replacement at the service centre. We support you.
Additionally, If you have a Micro SD card inserted, make sure it is high quality SD card. Because it can cause battery draining.
This is a few steps you may try.

The phone is Absolutely awesome , excep... morePhone heat up when playing graphic intensive game, that happened to most smartphones and it's normal so do I and don't worry.
Camera problem don't happened to me.
You may try factory reset or go to any Samsung authorised service centre for assistance.

And I showed it to samsung service center,they said there is no issue with the phone and battery. I asked them, they said battery is normal and they didnt perform any tests on battery... I dont know how they arrived on that conclusion... these samsung india service center guys dont have any knowledge..they are just bunch of untrained persons

I have been using the Note 3 neo since past 2 months.
The phone is Absolutely awesome , except for few minor -
flaws.
1. The phone gets heated up while playing HD games like Frontline commando..etc
2. The camera gets freezed while clicking pictures with flash.

By the way, have you updated you phone firmware to latest version?
