Dont persuade others to not buy this phone. I bought NOTE 3 NEO phone on may and it is an excellent phone except restart issues initially.

My handset was overheating when i am charging it, i sent an email n thy advised me to go service centre. I was very happy that they followed up till the problem is resolved. Finally service centre guys found that adopter has issue n replaced adopter. Now no heating prblms on my note 3 neo.

i am from india & i know to use a android- root it ,flash,install custom rom,hardware software.currently i own a GS3.WHICH IS PERFECT
@ SEPTEMBER 4 ,i bought samsung grand 2 dual sim in 18000INR ( 291.96 us $ )
after 2 nd day started heating @ backside of the phone near the camera,stared restarting,
upgraded it to kitkat @ ALL the way to NH6 FIRMWARE .still restared anytime.
tried factory reset countless times ,flashed diffrent firmware offcourse of kitkat because u can't downgrade because of KNOX.
i was so frusteted & don't tell me that was faulty because when i went to service centre they said my phone meets all SAR VALUE according to samsung.
so i put up with a complete yet faulty phone.
i sold grand 2 @ very big loss & decided to buy SAMSUNG NOTE 3 NEO (my worst & silly purchase i ever made)
PURCHASED SAMSUNG NOTE 3 NEO on 12 OCTOBER after 14 OCTOBER it started HEATING SO MUCH ON FRONT SIDE NEAR EARPIECE @ SCRREN'S UPPER SIDE.!!!
so i decided to wait some days ..meanwhile these days it started HEATING SO MUCH I CAN'T EVEN HOLD IT IN HAND & TALK WITH SOMEONE.
i disabled KNOX because someplace on internet they were saying on note3 forums it was
KNOX which was causing the issue,( nut my grand 2 didn't had even KNOX in app drawer !!!)
ok..then i used it a while & bang!!!
OVERHEATING & my SCRREN BRIGHTNESS GOT LOW THAT I CAN'T SEE EVEN A THING.
again tried factory reseted almost 8 times i remeber with different methods.ddidn't help
went to service centre ..& guess what ? they told me same story with SAR VALUE
i tried to exaplain them that i couldn't even talk .
BECAUSE EARPIECE WAS GETTING SO HOT IT WAS CAUSING SOME RADIATION & \
AFTER CALL I WOULD FEEL DEAFNESS..!! yes ,you read it true,deafness,i can't hear thing about 60-70 seconds.
they didn't replaced my phone
BUT I THINK EVEN THEY COULD HAVE REPLACED IT ,I WAS GOING TO FACE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN
because SAMSUNG DON'T DESIGNING PHONE NOW-A-DAYS .
now just 5 hours ago @ 8 pm i sold my NOTE 3 NEO AGAIN WITH SO MUCH LOSS.
& plz i m not a other brand sales -executive that gives false thing about samsung ..i was really hard fan of samsung &
was to happy about samsung's low prices.
BUT PLZ GUYS DON'T BUY THIS PHONE .because now searched up a while on internet
everywhere people say's NOTE 3 NEO IS OVERHEATING .&
by the way IT'S ALWAYS HEATED @ FRONT EARPIECE SO HOW EVEN U R SUPPOSED TO TALK WITH ANYONE.
u put it in apocket ,geats heated,do something gets overheated.
really that's why i paid 24,000 INR (389 USD $ ) TO GET PAIN FROM A PHONE THAT DOESN'T DO IT;S BASIC JOB.

I am also using note 3 neo. I bought it 1 month ago. While it charging the phone automatically switching off. When I switch on the phone again and again it switching off. Can anyone tell What is the reason for this. I am really disappointed because of this.

For all the note 3 neo users theres a happy news....make ur laggy and boiling note 3 neo faster and cooler with a troubleshooting method.....
1. Download dvfs disabler from playstore
2. On the top left corner their would be three line, open it then open click add command then select boot then copy these lines in the command box and press ok.
3. Go to build number in about device and click it 7 times,it will enable the developer option then go to developer option and enable force gpu rendering and disable hardware overlay....and then restart the device and enjoy the fast and smooth note 3 neo.....
4.lines to copy............

Did you... moreThe 2 cores i.e quad core 1.3 ghz cortex a7 are for normal use and 1.7 ghz dual core cortex a15 is for heavy tasks like gaming and benchmarks etc....if android 4.4.4 will make this phone run all those 2 processors and 6 cores run at same tym then it would be awesome.....

i donn't know why all people are talking about heating issue. i think they didn't use other phone. all android and iphone has a heating issue cause they donn't had a cooling motor like laptop.that is the reason samsung still going with the plastic.

But what I experienced is that the screen upper part... moreIve used s5,s4,note3,note 2 etc and all phones have heating issue but i dnt take care of it becuz the samsung service centres say that it has 1 yr warranty and use as much as you can even when its hot if damaged service centres are there to replace it.....iam jst caring about the performance which i think im little bit disappointing. ....bcuz apps take tym like in grand 2....bt feature wise its a note....mix of note 3 and grand 2.....bt gaming is at par as s4 or note 2...overall mid range phones cannot give more than this they have to compromise in any one area and its the normal usage of phones i.e apps opening tym (due to a7 processor)....i request samsung to provide an update so that note 3 neo can use all 6 cores at one tym even for normal use......overall happy flaunting this phone...

But what I experienced is that the screen upper part is really hot like holding a cup of hot tea touched using my palm after playing about 10 minutes of clash of clans. So is it normal for screen heated up?
For your questions about RAM, I think it is normal too, because the phone apps itself already uses about 1200mb. For me, my RAM always uses 1300mb to 1400mb, always 400 to 500mb free. This is refer to apps manager> running apps in setting.
It is recommend not to always clear apps or kill apps. It will drain the battery due to the apps auto run or relaunch again. The apps will close by itself after a period of time to free up ram for other apps and this will prevent battery drain.
But one thing I feel weird that the task manager stated always 200mb more than stated in running apps in apps manager.
