salim, 06 Aug 2014Pls let me know.. i am confuses between note 3 neo and xperia z, pls let me know which to buy.I have purchase this cell... onely 1 hour betrry timeing and no internet access by sim .only by wifi.opromaxitly hanging 40 time in one hour...low internal storage....very bad experience...dont buy this cell

feroz, 06 Aug 2014Hi am playing Asphalt 8 and frontline, commando when i open the game soon after 2 min it start... morePress and hold the HOME button and go to the RAM MANAGER. Clear the RAM and then play. I hope your heating problem for gaming should be solved for about 30-40 mins as more graphics uses more RAM and more core.

The main causes to choose the note 3 neo that 1st of all I have to say about the battery as note3 neo has a removalble battery and xperia Z has not. What will you do if your mobile hangs up on the way...?? Also, Not3 neo has a bigger battery with bigger capacity. 2ndly, noted neo has an S-pen with awsum features. I am using Note 3 neo for last 4 months. Its really SMART. And much better than XperiaZ.

... moreIt's Note 3 neo for me:)..though nexus 5 has a better processor, but I'm good with Neo since we won't be doing rocket science on it.

1) Which Game ?
2) How long do u play ?
3) What is getting heated, CPU, Battery or both?
4) How do u measure temp ?
If you are playing Graphic Intense games like Asphalt, Modern Combat etc. there is no Smartphone out there which won't get heated up.
In my case, if I play Asphalt 8 for 1.5 hours continuously, the CPU temp goes max up to 67 degreeC and Battery temp up to 38 degreeC. The upper part of the phone will start heating within 15 minutes of starting the game, and it remains in the same state thereafter.
The question here is, are these temperatures safe ??
Well the battery temperature is absolutely safe. But can any expert comment on the CPU temp ??

My last resort was to restore the factory setting and i already removed my sd card. In the span of 3hours with open wifi and no apps installed i didn't lose any percent of battery. As of now, i don't have any additional apps yet.

Movie watcher and games is the th... moreYour question can be converted to "Full-HD OR HD".
Display Quality : Full-HD > HD (Noticeable only while playing 1080p stuff)
Screen-On Time : HD > Full-HD
Surface Heating during Gaming : Full-HD > HD (bigger the resolution, more load on GPU)
Even though screen size is less for Nexus5(so does battery capacity), it is going to drain battery faster during Movie Play & Gaming, because it is Full-HD.
Honestly for a screen which is less than 7 inch, HD is more than enough. Full-HD, Ultra-HD all these are Marketing gimmicks.
And regarding Gaming Performance, other than in Benchmark scores, you can't spot any difference. Don't bother about some fools boasting about their Antutu scores and all.
So if you want an extra 2-3 hours entertainment with an almost equal display quality, go for Note 3 Neo.

... moreTo turn of an app say "ABC", go to Settings > General > Application Manager > ALL > ABC, "Force Stop" it first and then "Turn Off".
Not all apps will have "Turn Off" enabled.
And regarding which are the safe apps to disable, do a google search "how to disable bloatware on Note 3". You will find many links which lists the bloats which can be turned off without causing any issues.
Again, I can't tell "OK you can turn off ABC,XYZ etc" because you may actually need it and want to use it.
So do your homework, identify what u need and what u don't.

Also try the Camera thing which someone pointed out(hope you are not exiting Camera by pressing home key).
After a factory reset and no apps installed(also no SD card inserted), if you are still facing battery drain in idle mode, then there are only 2 possibilities.
1) Your phone software is corrupted/incomplete.
2) Battery is Bad.
Take it to service centre and get it checked.
