The battery backup is also decent with good performance. The only problem for me was the lockscreen. I have replaced the pattern lock with pin lock, now it seems to be OK.

just disabled the system lockscreen it's will fine and no lags anymore :)

Affordable Note!
I buy it an affordable price a good smartphone with very very powerful battery life, And it speed but the only problem is its heating up

One of the worst phones in the market by Samsung.
The phone heats up a lot while having a call. On charging the phone again heats up like a frying pan. Cant support more than a certain number of applications as it starts hanging.
Anyone who is deciding to buy this model, my sincere advice is please look for other models. I am writing this for the benefit of other customers.

Download Odin 3.
Shut down your device.Press volume down button +power button+home button.
Press on AP tab in Odin.Now select the firmware.let the new firmware copy and you can downgrade your NEO

Seriously, somebody, how to downgrade?
It's been a week since i updated it to lollipop. Recently, lags and freezes occur really often, especially when I tap on notifications on the lockscreen.
I have tried the odin, but it always says failed.

found a permanent fix for note 3 neo lock screen lag fix (NOROOT)
first step: go in setting ,about ,tap build no 7 times ,
go in developer mode un tick use awesome player as default media player
second step:install wake lock screen lock from play store
in app set it at partial wake lock and dont diasble the notification of these app system may kill it
and done no lag since then enjoy :)
tested it on my note 3 neo lollipop indian version

How to downgrade?
My note 3 neo is in lollipop now.
And I have the jellybean rom on my laptop. I tried to downgrade it by using odin, but it always fails.

Had same issue....
Problem is not with Samsung's update...it's with Google apps...
I am sure after updating it to Lollipop version, ur Google apps are not keeping up with it hence it also asks u to update playstore..

SOLUTION : HARD RESET
after updating ( if u have already updated then also u can do it)
1)Take backup of ur contacts,SMS,call logs through available backup apps on playstore ( u can keep backup on ur external memory card)
2)Take backup of other items from ur internal memory like photos,notes,etc
3)Go to recovery mode
[ How to enter Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo recovery mode ? ]
step 1 )Power off your device.
step 2) Boot in recovery mode by pressing and holding Volume Up, Power Button and Home Button at the same time.
NOTE: try and keep the buttons pressed until the Recovery menu appears ( Note 3 display flickers)
step 3) Release all buttons when the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo screen flickers and in a few seconds the Recovery screen will appear.
Then (use volume up/down key to select option and use power key to apply selected option)
In recovery mode
1st select from Recovery Mode menu "wipe cache partition" option and click power key to confirm
then 2nd step
Select from Recovery Mode menu "wipe data / factory reset" using Volume buttons to navigate and Power button to confirm.
and then on screen, u will see multiple "NO" option but only one "YES" option,
so select "YES" option and press power button to confirm.
step3
After that Select from Recovery Mode menu option "reboot system now" to reboot ur mobile.
after rebooting u will get ur brand new mobile with Lollipop, ofcourse then u will have to install ur required apps and restore ur contact,sms n all ...

After Lollipop update, I actually experienced lockscreen laggy and freeze the phone for sometime.
Now there is a temporary fix, just simply enable power saving mode. I know people are hating to enable power saving mode that slow down performance.
There are options in power saving setting. You can tick only 1 of 3 of the save battery options.
Choose disable haptic feedback if you don't use it. (This is best option to not losing performance by enabling power saving)
Or by choosing decrease screen output to reduce screen brightness. (If you use to low brightness)
In Lollipop update on Note 3 Neo I don't found any problem that can cause frustration and regret upgrading it. I can say no problem at all other that lockscreen issue (But fixed) but increase in performance a bit.

anonym, 05 Mar 2016Regarding the lag problem it happens with my phone too, but i discovered that the problem was ... moreAfter lollipop update eon Note 3 Neo, Samsung added a few features which is great for power saving and ram management which is the Smart manager app which consist of clearing cache, power save the apps and security. (This feature available since Note 4).
So in the end we don't need any third party apps to control the system. Smart manager is powered by Clean Master good for clearing cache and unwanted junk.
So update to Lollipop, it makes a lot of difference and fix a lot of minor bugs in Kitkat, for Note 3 Neo.

Regarding the lag problem it happens with my phone too, but i discovered that the problem was with samsung's ram and cpu management, there's too much app running on background, even it has the ability to disable some apps, the bloatware which come with it from stock, all cannot be disabled.
The only solution to install task killer app and you also need app to clean the cache memory in frequent, now after I install both apps the lagging problem became settled and hangs during unlock the phones never comes again.
