Droid Ghost, 20 Oct 2014Why Samsung doesn't give is plan? Because many devices will not get updated.
Google officia... moreGood lord. Get over your fanaticism and your determination about Samsung being a terrible company. Pretty much Android 5 bring only slight and aesthetical improvements. OF course Nexus device will get it right away.
Stop bothering us with your senseless ramble about how cheaper VANILLA Android devices are here.
bruce waynee, 20 Oct 2014I prefer note4 with 4.4.4 Instead of Garbage looking stock android 5.0 nexus6 Of course, stock Android is useless for this type of phone. But why would we stick to Android 4.4.4, why not Android L? It will enhance the performance of the Note 4 as it's a 64 bit OS. Android L with the new Touchwiz version would be great. But we will have to wait for a few months for the Android L update.

Google officially announced Android 5.0 Lollipop recently, and while that is great news and all, unless you are among the minority that is on Nexus or Google Play edition devices, what you are really looking for is when the OEMs, or the OEM of your device at least, will be pushing the update, if at all.
While we might not have exact dates yet, some of the Android OEMs have come forward and announced support for Android 5.0 Lollipop. This means the selected devices will be getting the update some time in the future. The rest of them will either never get the update or haven't been confirmed yet.
So here's a list of Android devices that we know of so far that will get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in future. Currently the list only includes Motorola, HTC, Sony, NVIDIA, and of course Google. Samsung, LG and others are yet to announce their plans for Lollipop update.
Of course, more names will be added to the list in future and we'll try and keep it updated.

i am Iphone 5 user. iphone6 really frustated me. Time for samsung. Note 4 looks promising. :)
kaveh.amin, 20 Oct 2014hope some day samsung deny the old and odd design language that it sticks to for all its smart... moreI think you will find that most Note users would prefer physical keys. I also have a Tab 7.7 and am not a fan of on screen keys.
any one experienced this device, is the finger print comparable to that of apple have. is it as fast and reliable or just an advertisement feature???
hope some day samsung deny the old and odd design language that it sticks to for all its smartphones from low end to flagships. hope the hardware keys be removed in the next gen. may be GN5 or any other name it would get.
My device is from united arab emirates and it is SM-N910C (Approved by RTA and sold by etisalat)
TheNeighbor, 20 Oct 2014Yup, no matter how you look at it, Nexus 6 is vanilla Android with no add on for that $100 les... moreYeah Note4 is king
Vanila android phones sucks and interface is garbage with no features .
I m using Moto X , used nexus 5 too.
And I really regret it .
Someone tell me to root the phone . no I don't want to waste time and want to destroy my mind in rooting and playing it 24hour .
Samsung is now King with note 4 along with king apple IPhone 6 .
I want these two phones , Hahaha
I was waiting to buy Note 4 because Note 3 don’t have Radio feature now again I have to switch my mind to buy another perfect model phone, I hate to buy phone without Radio feature…
Jovan, 20 Oct 2014Nexus 6 specs is awesome, of course, and it might be performing faster for it runs vanilla And... moreYup, no matter how you look at it, Nexus 6 is vanilla Android with no add on for that $100 less tag price. No memory expansion. No removable battery. No infrared remote. No fingerprint scanner. No S Pen. No heartbeat sensor. You can boast about some MILLISECONDS faster responses from operations, but NOTHING else.
Now this phone should be incredible. I mainly focused on that battery lifetime. When I bought my Galaxy S3 in late 2012, it had a corrupt battery file that made the battery weaker already, due to Samsung rushing manufacturing. Hopefully this time, they've learned their lesson from that year and don't have any file corruptions OR cracks in the phone/battery like the S3 did.
its big only otherwise it has same features like note 3 go for iphone 6 or 6 plus the best phone in terms of camera speed and durability
Pattha, 19 Oct 2014Vanilla Stock 5.0 Android Moto Nexus 6, a marvel, all spexs match but perfection as its best.... moreNexus 6 specs is awesome, of course, and it might be performing faster for it runs vanilla Android, but there are several things on the Note 4 that make it superior than the nexus. First, the display, though both are QHD, there's just no way of beating the Samoled of the Note, and it will show even more in the VR mode. That alone is worth the extra asking price. Then, the S-pen, to boost productivity and for precision work. The enhanced multitasking is also miles ahead, now with the added multi pop up windows. And then there's the cameras, front and rear. A blind test already showed how good the rear one is, much better even of the new iPhone camera and that of the new Z3. The Note 4 also has amazing battery life, fast charging, ultra power saving mode, and all the sensors that you might or might not need.
chin, 20 Oct 2014Currently I am using note 3, l think is time for Samsung to consider note 4 IP67 certified or ... moreI can relate. Water-resistance was something I was waiting for in the Note 4. OIS for the camera is just ok, but I don't find that as something I use everyday. The processor upgrade is a given. The screen resolution was unnecessary in my book as going over 300ppi is just a waste of graphical processing for a small screen. 1080p was enough, but they just have to keep that up for the techcentric spoiled users.
Other features like the new fingerprint scanner is something I'd use for easy unlocking. But yes, a water-resistance would tip the scale for me to get it right away. I believe the part for sealing the S Pen silo from water is possible. I wouldn't be dunking the Note if it did have an Ingress Protection, like some silly Sony Xperia users, only to find out they failed to seal in the flaps properly. Water resistance is just there for those times accidents or situations where you get wet - not intentionally trying it out to show off that spilling beer on it at a party is a fun thing to do.
I still don't know for the next 3 months or so, if I'm sure of getting this. I'm holding out for a Galaxy Note 4 Active, or even for the Note Edge with IP. I love the new Smart Select capability on the updated S Note app. Pretty useful encoding and editing my hand written notes of my researches.
wow all features in samsung galaxy note4 batteries talk time is good 20h all features in note4.
Currently I am using note 3, l think is time for Samsung to consider note 4 IP67 certified or may be just named note 4 active. Sincerely to say I am waiting for this spec for note 4.
yo yo, 19 Oct 2014Specifications are almost the same in note 4 and 3..except for camera..so y should i pay more ... moreBetter battery life, better screen, better front and rear cameras, better speed, better spen, better looks, better software, better speaker, VR compatible, finger print scanner, heart rate...
