outram, 08 Oct 2014Is there a pedometer on board? Yes, there is a full Pedometer aboard in the 'S health' app that is given. This is the same app that you use to monitor your heart rate.
darkraver, 08 Oct 2014Yeah, lets see....
But so much for exynos and mali...Thanks for the San Andreas game-play video. The main reason why Note 4 has poor graphics performance just because of the QHD display. The QHD display on the Note 4 kills the gaming performance. Still the Mali t760 and Adreno 420 are not sufficient to handle games on a QHD display at the maximum settings. Samsung should have designed the Note 4 with 1080p display instead of a QHD display. Samsung just made a wrong decision. A 1080p AMOLED display is more than enough for a 5.7" phone. No need to be too hasty for design phones with the QHD displays. Once the better CPUs and GPUs are available to deal with the QHD displays then those phone manufacturers can think about that. At the moment, the QHD displays are useless for the smartphones.
I guess this will be a not big issue for the average day to day user. This will affect the users who play games more often on their Note 4.
I have already decided not to buy a Note 4. I'm waiting for the next year Galaxy S6 and Note 5.
TheNeighbor, 08 Oct 2014Let's see with the Snapdragon version.:-)Yeah, lets see....
But so much for exynos and mali...
Negative media and bad imaging on a high now. In my honest opinion and on a very serious note, Why do samsung and apple lovers respectively have to take a dig at each other. What does it give them other than justifying their choice. I mean what ever anyone chooses that is his/her business, why the hell should anyone justify anything to someone. I am a samsung and andriod fan and used to be an apple fan but I like apple, whatever they do they do an amazing job and it cant be denied. Similarly, Samsung is also a reality so I think we should give it a rest to slating note 4 or iphone 6. Each on its own is a great.
As far as I am concerned, cant wait to get my hands on this bloody thing. I currently own note 3 and have never been satisfied as i am now but i am so pleased with note 3 that i find it obligatory to buy note 4 in other words i have been captured and expolited by samsung similarly to quite a lot of other people who are exploited by other manufacturers. Funny and sad at both times that being a third party they dictate in our lives to the extent that we fight for them. Anyways my rant is off and i hope to buy this one soon because i know it'll be amazing!!
"Samsung’s own even-higher resolution Note 4 (or equally high resolution Galaxy S5 flagship) both turn in benchmarks far lower than Apple’s new 6 Plus—and less than half that of last year’s iPhone 5s. In terms of fps, the latest benchmarks show that Samsung’s new Exynos-powered Note 4 drops down to 10.5 fps—almost half that of iPhone 6 Plus— in the same test.
Looking at the fairly decent, low level theoretical scores of the GPUs Samsung uses (combined with much higher clock rates and more RAM), it appears that the company’s devotion to extremely high resolution numbers is a spec list checkmark (rather than a real feature that benefits users) and is a primary contributing reason for poor real life scores in rendering 3D OpenGL scenes.
In other words, the chips Samsung is choosing to use could theoretically match Apple’s latest iPhones if they were not also driving tons of additional pixels that contribute little to no benefit to users. Think of it as a reasonably powerful engine installed into a monster truck with massive wheels it can barely turn.
Unfortunately, there will always be people who blindly chase specs."
This is worrying and I would not recommend the Galaxy Note 4 if one was looking to buy it for gaming or video. Other rival flagships may be better.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will hit GCC mainly Qatar on 17th October.
AnonD-316548, 07 Oct 2014Hi guys. Please I want your advice I have samsung galaxy s3 and really want to upgrade my phon... more...for real?... BB passport should not even be an option against the mighty note 4. BB are low spec, restricted, small market phones. Go for the note 4. BB is a joke.
AnonD-316548, 07 Oct 2014Hey guys I have samsung galaxy s3 and really want to upgrade my phone to galaxy note 4 but whe... moreIt has been, smashed in performance by iPhone, review by GSM. I think Korean play with numbers, may us deprived, actually the spex mentioned are frivolous. Wait till you see S6.
samsung are by far the best mobile device
so user friendly great tech just an all round super device
Samsung made bad engineering decisions with regards to screen resolution and graphics performance. Even though it looks good on paper, due to lack of optimization, graphics are worse than even Galaxy Note 3, which is not acceptable, ESPECIALLY if you are buying for gaming and watching videos:
