cheap old samsung design..no metallic body again...will not work at all....bullshit
As a Note3 user for 6 months, I find it's still a bit on the small side. I use the light with no-hands, sitting in my breast pocket a few times a day. Half of my shirts cover the light.
Dropping the USB3 is a weak move. My laptop has USB3 for its charging port, so it's easy for me to use it for browsing the DCIM as well. This will just slow things down.
The biggest problems I have with it are the brain-dead Samsung apps and implementation of Android. Beyond awful auto-correct/keyboard implementation (especially compared to the excellent HTC keyboard), which actually had dual language IME (English/Chinese) when I bought it, but was subsequently broken and took 4 hours at a Samsung shop to get back to normal!
Also, the frustration with apps I don't want, need or care about being *FORCED* on me and forced to be running *ALL THE TIME* is quite an annoyance.
Further, the camera app controls for FPS are designed to be intelligent to blind monkeys with learning disabilities. I own multiple DSLR's and thousands of dollars of camera/video equipment, so naturally, this camera was of great interest to me. 1080p60? Oh yeah! 2.1k@30fps? Awesome! 720p120? Count me in!
I have the same modes available on my GoPro of course and it's very easy to set up frame size and speed.
But on my Note3, I always feel like I'm not sure what my settings are. I have to shoot a test video, check the file stats, just to make sure I've got the right settings. It's just not that complicated, so I really don't know why there's no literal controls. Just "super slow motion" "smooth" and other meaningless terms. Surely the people who don't know how to use a camera couldn't care less if it had 720p120. It feels like trying to use kindergarten sized crayons, but while wearing cement mittens and rosewood-lensed glasses.
So, no retina scanner, no sonar, not water resistant, not 4GB Ram and only USB 2.0! Haha, fail cakes.
thgun2, 04 Sep 2014I was actually looking forward to the new note 4, now I'm not so sure. The battery is only 2... moreHuman eyes sees a lot more then 25fps. 60hrtz vs 120hrtz tv is noticeable. Especially if your a gamer is it noticeable.
Hovscorpion12, 03 Sep 2014Please provide proof of RAMhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tv7C4e8thv0 , it says in the official video it has 3gb of ram
I am really disappointed to read the specifications of Note 4. It is a biggest pain in the Ass.
jamallandit, 04 Sep 2014No 64 bit and No 4 g RAM! Sorry. What are you going to do with 4GB RAM???
Its so sad to people complaining for 4GB ram, for 4GB entire hardware must change! Even the apps are not available to make use of 4GB!
Keep waiting for the perfect phone my friend while others enjoy Note 4 :)
i was waiting the official announcement of Nokia HERE GPS in Samsung Galaxy Phones.
so, no water resistance?!?!? shame. I would like to take this with me kayaking in the ocean.... but I guess its not going to happen...
This phone is a beast, having iPhone 6 as personal phone and note 4 as work phone will make life so cool!
Awesome phone with beast specs AND a metal body?! I'm upgrading from my note 3 because note 4 is not an upgrade, its a different phone! Plus, i know my phones, and note 4 is literally number 1 in terms of specs.
Still no Dust and water protection like s5 (I was expecting this)
My old note is filled with dust particles which is very much visible while screen is off and is very annoying to me
Also expandable memory upto 64 gb only
Also what kinda radio it has, a standard one (or is it online radio)?
May be have to wait for Note 5 :(
sammy should be fired for these shit designs,he is spoiling the beast kind of specifications with his ugly designs….
The note 4 is a mixed bag for me. I strongly feel that they should have included an fm radio on board, omitting it just hints at some kind of collusion between samsung and the carriers and I think it's technically wasting bandwidth for streaming radio as well as cleverly making consumers pay for more data. The side frame looks like it's taken a cue or two from element case designs . The absence of the notification light on top might disappoint a few customers. I feel the bezels could have been made thinner to increase portability or who knows making them unwieldy might open up a new segment for a note mini.. I hope the snapdragon version is launched in india.
