AnonD-92553, 04 Sep 2014My first smartphone was sony xperia neo V. very nice mid range handset. i used it for 2 years.... moreYou could have use another theme rather than touchwiz coz you know it lags a lot. I have been using note 3 for almost a year and never had problems after using the RIGHT software. Try using nova launcher and then uninstall any unecessary apps that runs and lurks in the background. Avoid using battery savers as they hog memory space. Remember to clear cache often to refresh the apps. Use greenify to stop background apps hogging memory. Trust me, mine still runs smooth without using touchwiz
TBC- To be confirmed FM Radio better be confirmed
Even cheap Chinese phones are improving on specifications
Awesone but...i was disappointed with the speakers :( i expected it to be the same as note3's
Better screen and processor, They could have upped the RAM to future proof it. I have the note 3 and won't bother with this upgrade. Battery will drain faster and a 2k screen is going to be rather under utlised apart from HD movies.
Once the Note 3 gets the same firmware. Both phones with covers on side by side would be hard to tell the difference, especially with the screens off.
I'll wait for the note 5, if of course this doesn't ruin the Note series of samsung :/
Aesitg, 04 Sep 2014Does it support usb otg? Or is that what usb host is?OTG= sub host
danny, 05 Sep 2014Only 3gb ram? Not certified water & shock resistant? Total Failure! I'm expecting it to be... morewhy would you need more than 3gb ram? 64 bit soc is a expensive gimmick
its water repellent to some degree. (it has a metal frame aka it doesn't like water at all)
phablet screen goes from 5.2 to 6 anything more is a tablet lol.
I really expected Samsung to pull the big guns considering the new iphone is coming out the same time. They really disappointed me with the specs.
please Can You Conform me weather it's include the Water Proof IP67 Certificated & Fingerprint sensor
Gucci, 04 Sep 2014Note 4 have same battery compare to note 3 and more pixel, fast processor so battery will drai... moreFail. They just explain that the battery life increased by 7.5% yet the phone has a better screen and processing power.
The Adreno 420 consumes less power :P
Only 3gb ram? Not certified water & shock resistant? Total Failure! I'm expecting it to be 64 bit, 4 GB ram and at least 6 to 8 inches display.
Why did the Note4 go back to usb-2.0 instead of the 3.0 this might be a deal breaker for me. Is the unit water and Dust proof?
Note series is introduced for long battery but I can see that n2 31oo mhz, no 32oo mhz, no 3 22o mhz, please research and try to make 4000 mhz battery like lenovo p81 this will help you samsung to gain more profit as well consumer trust oops you.
Aesitg, 04 Sep 2014Does it support usb otg? Or is that what usb host is?it will have otg compatibility
Note 4 have same battery compare to note 3 and more pixel, fast processor so battery will drain faster than note 3 for sure.
Sometimes it's the little things that make me wonder. For instance why don't manufacturers have a built-in antenna to save users from having to plug in headphones or external speakers to be able to listen to the FM radio. I've seen cheap Chinese phones with inner antennas and yet expensive phones don't have this feature.
It would make using the radio function far more convenient if the antenna was built-in. These smartphones to a large extent have become mini-media devices. I like to attain news from a wide variety of sources. Simply put: one imbibes more info that way. One grows in knowledge when you have multiple media sources at your fingertips.
Just in case the servers are out of order or some nefarious government decides to suspend internet access, it is always great to have alternatives.
Viva mini-media devices. Viva SGNIV. Viva FM radio!
