techielover, 04 Sep 2014I want a smaller version more likely without the s pen.Galaxy S5
I take it that FM Radio TBC in the spec sheet means To Be Confirmed. So GSMArena are still not sure whether or not FM Radio is included. I hope that Note IV has it. Afterall this is essentially a communicating device and FM Radio is a great communicator.
The screen res is impressive but I'm not sure it is necessary to exceed 1020P on a 5.7" screen. I hope QHD does not compromise battery performance. Well, I must say it is a wonderful advert for Samsung's technological prowess. A few years ago QHD in a 5.7" screen was unthinkable.
I'm already set to buy this. I have Note II, but skipped Note III. I hope they don't forget the FM radio. New technology should not replace important technology especially when they can live side by side as was seen in Note II.
The advantage of FM Radio is that one is not lumbered with data charges and you're kept informed about what is happening in your locality and city. In all honesty it would be a mistake not to include it.
I was actually looking forward to the new note 4, now I'm not so sure. The battery is only 20 mAh bigger and with the note running the latest version of kitkat it wont make any difference. Better front and rear camera one person said. I tend to not get hyped up about anything over 7mp and 720p on a mobile device such as this theses days. Ok the front camera will be better as it is currently only a 2mp any thing over 7mp I wouldn't hype.
Could have added more ram. And as for 4k video there are not many devices you can play it back on yet. And why do we need to record at 60fps. The human eye can only see 25fps and blu-ray only uses 24fps. And the style is now getting a little old too.
why dont they support gsm/3g and 4g with the exynos proccessor? i mean why cant we deside if we want exynos or snapdragon?
I am not at all impressed with Note 4 :(
I was waiting and hoping that Note 4 would be "Water Resistant" at least ...
was planning to buy if it was water resistant but i think i had to stick to note 3 now as m happy with it for now -_-
Samsung has embarked on a specs race but not a software race. So what about this device when there is nothing really worthwhile on the software front - what you say, better games and photos. Is that all there is to the mobile race. Why bother to buy it?
rodders351, 03 Sep 2014What annoys me is that its the highest specced phone out there and people try and act all high... moreYet again whether u agree or not,Since Note 2 Sammy hasn't change their design language since then. And more disagreement about the design language by us(the consumers & users)has emerged, and that is no doubt.
As a proud Samsung Galaxy S III owner, I am certainly going to purchase this beautiful Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Well done, Samsung!
rodders351, 03 Sep 2014Another clown trying to act important...like he knows whats good and whats not...like hes the ... moreU are simply another fanboyism fool that defense your beloved crap Korea toy phone.I've own the Note 2,LG G Pro,Sony Z Ultra and One(m8).Among them the 2 from Korea OEMs feel awful with the build quality, they feel cheap in my experience. And I just express my experience whether u agree or not.
Before the release, I thought they would not impress people, like when the s5 was released. However, I am really excited for the note 4. I believe that they focused on the right things to improve. As a phone calles note 4, improvements should of course be on the way people take note. They did the great job adding new features to the s pen that would finally make it useful for everyone. A good camera is also one of the strong points of the note 4. Battery life is greatly improved, which is unexpected since the phone has a QHD screen. Overall, it is a very good phone but to switch from note 3 to note 4 is actually not necessary if you are actually already satisfied with the note 3.
sk, 03 Sep 2014LG G3 still beats it
better specs Explain to me what specs are better on the G3? Every single spec on it is the same or lesser except for the slightly larger camera aperture and it has dual flash.
So how exactly is the G3 a better device?
What a crap. Why they even bother to release those new Note. Almost same specs every time.
USB 2.0 ??? Note 3 have 3.0 and now only 2.0 in new model? Really step back??? It looks like a mistake...
As a company, we have recently abandoned Samsung mobiles – way too many work hours spent trying to get even warranty repairs done; verified billing for repair of non-existent damage; the “don’t give a rat’s” attitude of Samsung management to identified serious problems… they just don’t listen any more.
I have to say that I really don’t think we’re missing much with the Note 4, or even the Edge. As with the S5, there is nothing there I personally want to be wed to in a 2 year contract. Great screen; useful energy saving mode; metal edge but still no metal back; no waterproofing; no FM radio for events; no folding screens; will 64 GB of memory and only 3GB or RAM will be enough for the next 2 years?
There just isn’t enough here to make me wish we’d stayed, and probably nothing that is going to recapture market share. A real shame in some ways.
