This phone is a beast, having iPhone 6 as personal phone and note 4 as work phone will make life so cool!
Awesome phone with beast specs AND a metal body?! I'm upgrading from my note 3 because note 4 is not an upgrade, its a different phone! Plus, i know my phones, and note 4 is literally number 1 in terms of specs.
Still no Dust and water protection like s5 (I was expecting this)
My old note is filled with dust particles which is very much visible while screen is off and is very annoying to me
Also expandable memory upto 64 gb only
Also what kinda radio it has, a standard one (or is it online radio)?
May be have to wait for Note 5 :(
sammy should be fired for these shit designs,he is spoiling the beast kind of specifications with his ugly designs….
The note 4 is a mixed bag for me. I strongly feel that they should have included an fm radio on board, omitting it just hints at some kind of collusion between samsung and the carriers and I think it's technically wasting bandwidth for streaming radio as well as cleverly making consumers pay for more data. The side frame looks like it's taken a cue or two from element case designs . The absence of the notification light on top might disappoint a few customers. I feel the bezels could have been made thinner to increase portability or who knows making them unwieldy might open up a new segment for a note mini.. I hope the snapdragon version is launched in india.
The one thing I was betting on is IP68 certification and the most hurtful part is expandable only to 64GB. What happen to 128 GB since this is the BIG DOG we all been patiently waitingto see. Tssk
I watched the livestream and it said that it can support up to 128gb of SD Card storage. Correct me if I'm wrong.
These are not the Note 4's pictures, all the photos are of note edge. Please see the actual note 4, its much better looking.
rvd, 03 Sep 2014Agreed! Quad hd? ok. 805? ok. 5.7? ok. Mostly I wanted 4G! Wow, my wallet was aching to open. ... moreUmmm ... LTE isn't 4G? If these specs are correct this thing will work on basically any band on any network in the world (besides maybe Japan) ... including every band of LTE. Aside from Sprint Spark or WiMAX (in the 2 places you can get it sporadically), there's nothing faster.
design is mediocre, utilitarian, uninspiring, unsexy, and not innovative at all...all features, except the QHD for VR, follow the status quo of industry hardware updgrades....therefore I would not pay a premium for this phone over other comparable flagship phones unless I plan on using it for its VR features
So many people want water resistance on their devices and so many Sony devices have it already. But has anyone questioned its physical significance ?? One meter of water and 30 minutes means you can't use it for scuba/deep sea diving purposes anyway so what's the use ?? And 1 meter ?? Heck our height should be above that so all you want to do is capture pool shots ?? OK lemme twist it this way. Why doesn't the iPhone have this feature yet ?? As a Note 3 user , the only relevant specs upgrade to me are:
a) 4G Support (I admit only 150 MBps but hey my country India still hasn't utilized 3G to the fullest)
b) 16 MP camera with OIS (Yes this was a much , much needed feature. Should have been on the Note 3 last year)
c) Usable 4K recording.
The glaring omissions were:
a) No 64-bit CPU and 4 GB RAM. But that can wait until next year as there are no 64-bit apps right now.
b) Quite possibly , not a big enough battery to drive the high resolution screen.
