Here are the bad things people are talking about the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0:
Plasticky
No premium feel
Low resolutioned camera (but sharp with low light)
Not a full HD screen
Not an AMOLED screen
Silly as a phone?
Camera is bumping out
No radio
No front positioned speakers
No LED flash light
Price is $70 more than the "premium" iPad Mini
No Corning Gorilla glass
Poor battery only lasting 7-8 hours of heavy use
Not waterproofed
Not shock proofed
No wireless charging
No NFC
Touchwiz is boring
Micro USB port fragile
It's only coming out as the white version at the moment
The S Pen feels flimsy to use
Well, the list can go on much longer. And what a field day these other people who can't see the Note 8's hardware & software potentials would have.
It's not all about the status of having the device. It's about the possibility and the potential it offers with a Wacom digitizer integrated. This is the modern blank paper with endless pages, endless ink to compliment whatever you have in mind. And yeah, it does what any ordinary tablet can do, and a whole lot more innovation.
I think the Note series are much more brilliant than other tablets out there.
AnonD-134058, 09 Apr 2013I think this is just a big Galaxy Note. Okay specs though. I don't think adding a stylus will... moreOh yes it will for anyone who does drawing or sketching. The S Pen is an active pen digitizer. It detects many levels of pressure. I see the Note 8 more as a productive tool than a consumer oriented iPad. The S Pen is really intentional, and that's what makes it more than other tablets.
Somic19, 03 Apr 2013It will be available in the Philippines on April 13 at P23,990.00 or around $585. It's very co... moreBecause it has a Wacom digitizer system and you can make calls (3G version) and expand the memory. Stick to your iPad when you don't need the versatile S Pen and processing power. I'll use it for digital painting and drawing.
AnonD-2179, 06 Apr 2013you can have a brand new note 10.1 with 23k pesos, better than this. You can not expect a chea... moreOf course it's priced high at the moment. The Note 10.1 was about P30k when it came out. The Note 8 (3G version) is P24k. It can go down to P20k or less in a few weeks.
mali 400 dead gpu
720x1280.. :/ I will stay with my note2
ultimatex, 06 Apr 2013specification is gigantic but android is sucks, very laggy and fast drain battery unlike ios, ... moreBecause Android dominates IOS. Ios doesn't have half the android capabilities which is why you dont use much battery... no features...no usage!

specification is gigantic but android is sucks, very laggy and fast drain battery unlike ios, poor samsung why not to make own os.
you can have a brand new note 10.1 with 23k pesos, better than this. You can not expect a cheap gadget in ph specially when you are going to buy it on malls. They are very expensive.
