Using this method is better, as the phone will know it actual model.
Updates do not mean that it apply to all, say Note Edge.
Different model do have some differences.
That is why handset manufacturer come out with several models for several countries.
If you do direct updates not using the phone feature to updates, then there could have some issue.
I did encountered, as having 2 different model of S5; S5 with 16GB and with 32GB.
End up one of the phone have to do reset to factory setting, as having a serious problem.

Vo LTE Voice over LTE internet. Vo is partly digital voice with clear clarity.
Hence, as what i meant is that to check with the Telco on this matter; VoLTE.
I did come across in the Telco forum that customer request for VoLTE, as unable to turn on.
Not all Telco(s) do have this VoLTE feature.
VoLTE could be possible if the Telco(s) do have digital voice service.
If yes, then set the VoLTE and there is an indication on the notification bar on top.
My Samsung S6 when bought new, one year ago, i not sure what this icon.
The promoter in the Telco shop said it is a new feature.
As for Samsung Note Edge, it can set but no VoLTE icon on the top notification bar.
As i do not use this phone for call, anyway, so i don't bother it.

NoteEdge, 23 Nov 2016In the service don t know what is problem with my Note.......they think it may be processor pr... morei had problems after updating to marshallow. it was an app that caused it. after uninstalling the app it the problem was solved. i also did factory reset. now my edge is running smooth. i really like marshmllow on note edge model N915g. hope this helps.

Marshmallow update was very buggy ... moreHad similar issue with the battery draining fast due to the music app that crashed too many times to mention but i had uninstalled it but it kept reinstalling.After reinstalling i just forced stopped it and the phone worked just fine there after. I don't know much for the battery drawing because with network data running and the phone gprs ,the battery life is only 8hrs and that is with background data on most apps restricted, in short the battery ducks but I love my phone

I like the edge but prefer the note 4 design also the note edge is just 50 euros more expensive here coming at 300Â€ Or should I a 2016 flagship please help thanks in advance

Im from Phils, bought the phone in greenhills, the handset is an international unit from Singapore.
-I can use the phone but it shuts off once it reached 40% and 15% of battery consumption.
-Is it normal to hear a buzzing sound at the back camera when it does auto focus?
-There was a time wherein the color of the screen went green for a couple of seconds, then returned to its normal state. ( Im pretty sure its not normal)
-I am receiving a new notification about the latest software update
( Version: N915GXXS1DP12/ N915GOLB1DPG1/ N915GXXU1DPG3)
- Should i update this to this new update (still marshmallow) or stay on the current update?

The Galaxy Note Edge is an awesome phone. Got mine in 2014. Marshmallow update was very buggy and the main culprit is the SAMSUNG MUSIC APP; Uninstall the Music app updates and then prevent the app from auto updating. I guarantee that this will stop the overheating and very quick battery drain. It can be very difficult to do especially when the phone gets into a vicious reboot mode every few seconds. This solution works. I bought a new battery before discovering what the problem was.

Version not correct, then do factory reset.
Go to Google Play Store.
Try to uninstall and reinstall apps that you manually download.
Do one app at a time, and wait a period to see any result.
Most Apps have to be optimized after version updates. (Optimized is re-update again.)
If this steps were not done properly, this could affect the phone performance.

The service staff do not solve app issue as this is why no one complain about the same problem.
As in 1 forum, a user unable to use the app that i have no problem.
So at times it could be the app may cause your problem which you may have not notice it.
Do troubleshoot apps that you installed.
Not all &or any apps works for a phone may also work for another phone model.
Meaning, app on one phone model works, but may not work on another phone, properly.
This had happened to me as someone recommended this app, and after some times did notice strange thing happened. Further research led me to consider that app as the issue. So uninstalled that app, the problem no longer appeared. Did put a note on the phone to take note that should i install that app again.
The issue is that someone that loved that app is most probably using another phone model.
