Samsung, are you listening?
Good, give us a Breather Light!!
Giving up old smartphones are a pain when we've basked in the comfort of using a phone with a dedicated LED for notifications.
You can walk through the room with the phone on the bed or two desks away, and still pick up the flashing with peripheral vision.
Those of us that are not unemployed and are really stressed for time, can't dedicate one arm just to check for incoming mail or messages. A dumb brick unless pinched.
The NOLed app on the old Note switches on a part of the massive screen to compensate for this shortcoming, which is a huge waste of battery.
Fix this and you have a winner, (not that it already isn't).

AnonD-43129, 21 Feb 2012how's the battery life on this? I've been using N7000 version and will like to upgrade to this... moreYou won't really be "upgrading". The processor will slightly lower the bench mark speed, it has no fm radio, and no screen mode options to control the color saturations. LTE is not so available everywhere and drains more power, although that's a nifty option to have. I like the light buttons though as they won't wear out as the physical button in the long run.

I have been using the Galaxy Note for over to months now. The battery lasts the whole day (6am to 10pm) with frequent use throughout the day.
The Touchwiz software is only slightly annoying (not like my old Omnia 2) and I hope to get ICS soon.
The build quality is impressive, I dropped the phone onto concrete from about 1 metre. It survived unscathed. I find the size perfect, the screen is big enough to feel like a tablet but the size is small enough to put into my back pocket and ride my motorcycle.
PS: When i send an email it has a STUPID message about sending from a Galaxy Note. Really Samsung?
LTE class 17 - very clear, but 1700/2100 is not, is it class 10 or 4 of AWS, or are they 1700 class 9 and 2100 class 1?
