Kittu, 02 Aug 2014Samsung phones can be updatable through wifi only, not with data card or mobile internet.so on... moreI beg to disagree with your assertion,Samsung phones can be updated through cellular networks,I personally updated my note 2 from 4.1.1 to kitkat which took up to 1.5gb of data,using mobile networks.. it all depends on the network strength..

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2014needs help..from day one I haven't received any of the software update of my n7100 note 2...it... morepls try this method.
download kies in your pc,
then sync your note 2 with kies through usb or bluetooth,
then under the Tools Tab, you will see Firmware Upgrade.
if an upgrade is available, kies will find it for you and then a download will start and you Note 2 will be upgraded.

Until upgrade in spring 2014 it was fabulous - I was on iPhone bef... moreDitto - that is EXACTLY what happened to my Note II, my boss' Note II, and my co-workers Note II. The phone is a daily nuisance now. Talk about planned obsolescence. So frustrating!!!

I have note2 from Feb 2013. Until upgrade in spring 2014 it was fabulous - I was on iPhone before, Note2 was much better. But after last 2 upgrades it turned into s**t, got slow, lost functions, change icons, letters on keyboard (to smaller) etc. Each subsequent upgrade makes this phone worse (actually old and typical story about upgraded programmes) I was thinking to buy note3, but now start looking back to iPhone or maybe to try sony or nokia.
And because upgrades implies better functions, where you can complain if are not happy about and want those old version? I would not recommend "upgraded" Note2.

Using it since one year. Fell many times from my hands and played many games. Still it looks new. I had little problems with gps at the start but its ok after a software update. I had my hands on many phones and I found that samsung has max features with good looks especially note series. From now on, I will always buy samsung phones only. It simply complete my all requirements. Battery backup is also ok for me. Keep it up.
