I just received an update KitKat OS 4.4.2. I need to know whether it is good for note 2 or not. (because it tells that once it be installed to note 2, we will not able to downgrade it.) you'll opinion is very needed.. thanks all.

These are the limitations in android 4.3 :
> You cannot control the flight mode using automatic profile changing apps like profile scheduler+ etc
Limitations in android 4.4 and after (when using file managing apps like x-plore, es file manager etc) :
> You can only copy files / folders from the memory card to the phone memory
> You can only do all operations (copy, create file / folder etc) only in the phone memory.
> All other operations within the memory card (only when using the above mentioned apps) such as :
1) copying or moving file / folder from phone memory to the memory card,
2) creating or deleting any file or folder in the memory card,
3) copying a file or folder within the memory card
There are some trolls who are supporting and encouraging to update. Do not belive them.
However you can do any operation anywhere using the default 'my files' app.
Then the choice is yours.

Hi, I had bought Note 2 appx. 6 months back with android version 4.1.2. I did not upgrade the OS as there were reportedly some problems with the earlier updates.
Now since Android 4.4.2 has been released, i wud like to know if there wud be significant change in the display/performance of the device with the upgrade?
Also, will i be able to install apps on external sd card after the upgrade?

after i update my galaxy note 2 to 4.4.2 kitkat my bluetooth doesnt work properly it can paired but doesnt transfer a file like pictures and songs in blackberry playtab of my niece.. please help...

I'm not into 3rd party ap... moreIn third party file managing apps like x-plore, es file manager etc, you cannot perform any operations in the memory card (except copy files / folders from the memory card to the phone memory). Do not believe some trolls who are posting invalid links. They won't correct themselves even after their death.

don purchase any thing thru e bay..utter waste..
in service centres they wnt accept imported phones for service.. i got fed up..

I have bought my note 2 this december. I was really happy with my choice because of the battery backup and stand out features. I was satisfied with the battery backup on Android 4.3. But now with the Kitkat update the performance and backup has gone to another level. The phone is buttery buttery super buttery smooth.With the data disabled i am left with in excess of 85 % at the end of the day. This means around 12 hrs of usage on around 15 % battery consumption.With 20 % 2g,10 % 3g and 70 % on wifi i am left with in excess of 50 % battery. I enjoy late night movies and youtube streaming for more than 1 hours.Even after all this i am always left with in excess of 20 % battery by around 2 AM in the morning.

So far, I havent encountered any bad issues with the update. I tried testing it in Antutu and there is improvement with the benchmark scores. Battery performance? No problem at all. The UI feel seems slightly smoother...but it is hardly noticeable though. Haha! There is an additional button on the keyboard...emoji icons? It's really cool since you don't have to download another app if you wanna add some icons in messaging. More of this later...again...haha! Btw, free u some memory space now so you can have your wife's phone updated na.

I can't say about the KitKat update, try it yourself is the best way to know if is has an issue, better performance or the same or maybe worst, If you later don't satisfy, you can flash to other OS version or downgrade.
