Hey Guys... Did anyone update their Note 2 in India to 4.4.2. I just connected my cell to Kies but it says This is the latest firmware. Please help.

Samsung has been trying to kill software support for this phone since 4.3. As an example they already killed software support for the S3, the international S3 with 1GB of ram won't be getting 4.4 or other software updates.

alienufoweird, 16 May 20144.4 kitkat will be the last update for the Note 2 so if u like xperia z and don't mind the siz... moreI do not hate sony.i like there z2 ,it looks awesome its with the best specs on the market...most importantly sony have improved on its screen ..and camera quality .now we can say its a real beauty with brains...however i wud still need a ois and xenon flash on it may be they r saving that for z3 or z4 or so god knows...lol..the.s5 is also good however the low price and instant availability,marketing are few points with samsung .

AnonD-222054, 16 May 2014Does anyone experience a temporary switch off now and then after the kitkat update? ? After updating to kitkat my note 2 (N7100) also experiencing occational reboot..tried doing hard reset but didnt help..any body else experiencing same issue??

Im choosing ... moreNote2 is much better than xz even the 8 mp camera is much better than the 13mp on the xz, the samoled is also better than the washed out screen of xz and same goes for battery life .if u r looking for a affordable smartphone better go for Galaxy s4 but if u r looking for a affordable phablet go with note2..btw note2 is upgradable to android 5.0 .

Im choosing between note.2 and xperia z
I Like Z because it looks unique.. And im a sony fan.
I like note2 because of its batterylife
And screen size.
I have a question.. Does note2 will recieve further updates of android??
Because i think.my xperia sp updtate is over..

capacity 2800 mah.
should I use it to recharge my note 2 ?
as note 2 default charger output is 2A..

Adrian5959, 15 May 2014i havent receive the update of android 4.4.2 of international version..is it havent arrive yet?That maybe there was something wrong on Samsung server in yout country or your country still doesn't receive it yet. Check on www.samsng-updates.com or www.sammobile.com, find your device and and your country in the list.

Previously I used Galaxy Note II N7100, bought from a friend who had been using it for 1 year, still good in function and no problem until I sold it.

After year and 4 months only of having note 2...it passed away suddenly, shocking death, if I repair it I have 2 pay 65% of its price!!!
Very disappointing product...after reading many reviews it appeared that note 2 & s3 share the same diffect "sudden death syndrome"...I don't recommend it at all.
