AnonD-58472, 04 May 2014After updating to 4.4.2 we can install GOOGLE CAMERA on note 2 frm plystre, it'hav photoshpere... moreUpdated to kitkat 4.4.2 .The UI was always smooth even before 4.3 with its 1.6 ghz clocked quad chipset ,however the benchmarks still matters with kitkat 4.4.2 and yes the more updated software tech is better than the old..
Also Installed flash player today with dolphin browser...however dolphin is still a little laggy than the stock browser...lets hope the devs give some solution soon..
translucent status icons are better the old ones and the transparent status bar is also supported on nova launcher.
Yes,there is a slight screen loss in the edges of the screen ,btw its likly to get resolved with few more updates..
no issues with wifi , bluetooth or any connectivity features
liked the music widget on lock screen
camara focus speed has also increased a bit.
battery life almost same as 4.3
If some apps are not working properly go to GPM & Update those apps.
overall a nice & stable update however cud have been better

Do not try it with my files app. Install x-plore and es file manager. Then create a folder, delete any file, copy a file from phone memory to the memory card within the x-plore and es file manager.

new update includes a new lock screen , monochrome status bar... and nothing more... but i am telling you , the phone has become a lot more smoother , smoother than the day i bought the phone 18 months ago...! Its not a worthless upgrade...becausse 4.3 was a mess , lot of bugs and my phone had slowed down...! But after updating to 4.4.2...the phone has became much faster , performance has increased , higher benchmark results...!
Final Words : ITS WORTH UPDATING TO 4.4.2...!

How's the kitkat update?i heard there's no changes at all in update. and its worthless update. its same as old with lil widgets changes n oly 4.3 to 4.4 number changes in setting than nothin else. Samsung is cheating us i guess oly by giving number to the same old firmware. not evn one app in improved or given as like s4 o n3. can anybody tell the difrncs perfectly ?

Worthless upgrade..
No noteworthy changes..still no new camera app that debut more than a year ago on S4. Even Mega ando Grands have it but not on note 2.
Forget about floating apps and s-pen features of note 3.

On widgets assitive light is replaced by "TORCH" They removed the "settings" widget where we could set individual settings shortcut like battery or software update.

So Asian region can use with sim in other region. Only thing you can do bring it to Samsung service center to unlock that phone. Now if you are going to come back ti Asia will you have the same problem ?. I stop buying Samsung phone dueto this selfish reason.

2 all, who have downloaded new update, i like to know after updating it show in about mobile details as 4.3 only or 4.4 kitkat .....??? becz i have enquired with samsung customer care, they stating that is only update for 4.3 , not a 4.4 kitkat......... so i m full of cofusion.... help in this regards...

AnonD-58472, 03 May 2014@parag : can u mention the difference between both??It means that the 416MB is the new data needed on top of the existing android 4.3.or android 4.2 firmware already installed on ur phone...means there r lots of things like apps etc ..u already have in ur phone and they do not require any changes..that is why the file size is small.
& the 1.2gb is a total firmware with everything included.
btw its no rocket science..
