Anonymous, 14 Dec 2013pls share some tips to get max battery life. Like others say :

> Switch off all radio related options (WiFi, bluetooth, GPS etc) when not using. Do not let them run in background.

> Reduce your display brightness level to a convenient level.

> Do not use your mobile in weak mobile signal areas.

> Use vibrate only if you are at a noisy place or during travelling.

> Use headphones to hear music rather than hearing it in speaker.

> If you are in home and have wired broadband and WiFi modem, use internet on your device using WiFi.

> Charge your mobile only when the battery level reaches 10%. Do not charge in the middle.

> If possible, enable flight mode in the areas where is no signal coverage or very little signal coverage (one point). If coverage is less, inform your mostly contacted persons about the coverage status by SMS and enable flight mode.

To all who want to upgrade the o/s from 4.1.2 to later version :

No need to factory reset your phone before upgrading. Just take a backup of important data and make sure that it does not have any virus (existing antivirus software will not be erased by upgrading).

I don't know about others. I did not factory reset my phone and upgraded to 4.3 version. All options worked. But 'add city' option in clock --> world clock did not work. It worked only after factory reset after upgrading to 4.3.

You directly upgrade to 4.3 without factory reset (after taking backup of the important data). Then try all the options that you use in this phone. If you face problem somewhere, then you reset. Some jobless person(s) are blindly urging others to reset before updating. Do not listen to them. You can even call Samsung customer care (in your country) and get their advice.

AnonD-215083, 14 Dec 2013Whether to update my mobile to 4.3 or not . I am confused. Anyway this phone's battery backup is worst in 4.1.2. So no difference (except the options which got aligned properly in 4.3). Go on and update. Better use WiFi. Do not waste your mobile SIM data limit for this !!!.

AnonD-121248, 14 Dec 2013@ Sudhakar Then you should understand those 30 million people who are getting good battery ... moreIf you are getting good battery backup, say that your handset is giving good battery backup. Do not say in common. In the same way, let others post their feedback.

What is the proof that million people are experiencing good backup?. Do not say as such for creating publicity in a shameless manner.

Did I say about less battery backup cases in particular numbers?.

Yes it is always recommended to format your phone to factory settings before and after updating to new OS.

            Everything has a trade-off.

A clever person will take a way which has almost no reverse path that is... It is likely tough to go back to your old OS after updating to new one. But it's easy to customize your phone.

The more clever one and Pessimist people will prefer to retain their customize settings and then cry over spill milk.

So it's all about right choices and smart people know what to do!

              @ Sudhakar

Then you should understand those 30 million people who are getting good battery backups and stop dominating and complaining always and stop being a troll. If one should not go for recommended practices for one machine, one should not expect ultimate performance from the machine. Take general examples of car or even of yourself, if you are not eating healthy, eventually you will not be good one day. Be practical, be optimistic. If you have not taken good care of your phone, then at least help others to take care of their phone by suggesting good things. First you were behind camera of this phone and now battery. People wonder about this.

To all those who 'are getting' / 'are pretending to get' good battery backup in this phone (N7100) :

If your phone gives good battery backup, this doesn't mean that others' N7100 phone should also give good battery backup.

Understand others' problem and do not dominate here. Understood?.

4.3 battery, 14 Dec 2013for all who fcing a bad battery performance after 4.3 upgrade pls do the following before give... moreI tried once after updating to 4.3 version.

You will just tell everyone to factory reset in simple words. Think about the time taken and consumed data to customize the settings to normal and install the software updates.

First of all you do factory reset as frequent as you advice. Then you know the pain.

Do not remove your card as such. Choose unplug / safe remove option and then remove after confirmation. If you do not know where it is, I will tell you :

                              In android 4.3 :
Go to settings --> more --> storage --> scroll to the bottom and choose 'unmount SD card'.

Like in PC Windows o/s, there is no option to stop a service permanently. Even if you force it to stop, it gives warning that that service will be started on next reboot of the device. What to do?.
