AnonD-45280, 18 Oct 2013i have problem in my note2 theres no response in usb when i connect to PC its only charging wh... moreI had the same issue too, my Note II N7100 is second hand, although the white USB cable is not new again, it still works for charging, but if I connect it to PC, it doesn't recognized as mass storage (nothing happen, only charging) or like USB Flashdisk (when I was using Galaxy Ace 2 I8160, if the USB cable is connected to PC, the PC will recognized the smartphone, I wonder maybe the system is like this.

Portability is a big issue with me too,I don't want to carry addition... moreThere is an option by which only Spen, will be recognised and touch of your hand will not be recognised. You just have to click the hand icon on the right hand side bottom. You can on off this option.

Although you can rest palm on note 2 when you are taking notes with Spen. Note 2 is excellent for note taking, painting, photo editing in Snote is awesome. Why don't you go to any shop where you can check out note 2 yourself???

If there isn't any significant difference in note taking capabilities of both the devices then I will go with Note 2.I won't be taking notes during live lecture, I plan it to use within the comfort of library or my room.
I have heard that you can't rest your palm on note 2 screen while writing as it does not differentiate it with the stylus. Is it true?

Acc. to gsmarena review of note 2, Note 10.1 spen is more good. Note 10.1 will be hard to carry around as compared to note 2. As far as Apps concerned, both have same processor , ram and Android 4.1.2 I personally feel, if you want to take class notes on a gadget, u should buy note 10.1

One thing though, when I said note 10.1, I meant the one released last year (Galaxy note 10.1 N8000). I cant afford the 2014 version. You might want to modify your answer now.

For Note taking apps, check Samsung Apps for Spen.
It has Snapdragon 800 , so dont worry about gaming. it has lots of power.
