S3 is good if u love to have compact phone
note 2 is good if u won't bother about its size and pocketability...

Dear Friends, I am planning to take a mobile phone as soon as possible. I have two questions to ask regarding this and they are
1.) Is Samsung Galaxy Note 2 OR Apple iPhone 4s???? Which one will do good?? (Sorry for comparing an Apple with Samsung)
2.)Is online Purchasing Good??? such as ebay,Snapdeal,Flipkart???

I have been using Note2 for couple of months now. Everyone have battery issue, even tho it works good. Everyone hates to do force stop, killing apps everytime and etc... I suggest a best solution for you all. Just try and see I am sure you will see big different in the battery life.
1. Get Root access
2. Install "Greenify"
3. Add all the apps and games into "Greenify" and it will make everything hibernated. So once you close a app or game it wont work in background.

I have used this device for more than an year now. My take on this - Good things -1. Screen large enough to make reading documents, e mails, watching videos etc very comfortable. 2. Battery life is good - but if you know how to customize the phone. Plenty options available- like juice defender which work well. 3. Very customizable - especially if u r a geek, if you root your phone and install custom ROMs. I did all this and tweaked it to some extent. But quickly got bored with it.
Not good- 1. Build very plasticky. not in league with HTCs/ iPhones/ Lumias. 2. Too much customization is a double edged sword. With custom ROMs, many wallpapers and apps behaved differently. Also too much customization- u get bored with a ROM in no time and want another better looking one- for me those ROMs which looked good didn't behave well and those working very well didn't have a polished look. 3.Too many apps without strict quality control. many working well for others didn't work for me.
So now this is a standby phone. iPhone 5 is my regular phone now and am happy with it. OS is very smooth, polished and user friendly. All apps I use work as intended. Less threat of viruses than android. Happy with it at present.

AnonD-77443, 15 Jul 2013Just did a reboot and the media server battery drain has come back... (Samsung... your last fi... moreI am still having a problem with "media" draining my note 2 battery. The only way i can stop it is to go to settings > battery > media and select force stop.
Every time i reboot i need to do this... hopefully Samsung gets their act together and fixes this on the next firmware.
ps, if you don't have a lot of files on your sd card you wont really notice this problem.
