tech expert, 20 Mar 2013yes I totally agree with u. iam from India and note 2 battery last only 4-5 hrs on full charge... moreOn standby my Note 2 is using around 1% per hour. Internet use over wifi is about 10-12% per hour while over 3G its probably around 15%. Videos use about 8-10% per hour meaning i could watch videos for up to 12 hours.

gora22, 20 Mar 2013I downloded CPU SPY.......I came to know that my most of d battery is utilised by deep sleep..... moreThis means that your processes are not being killed when your cellphone is asleep. And if your processes are not killed they will consume CPU and CPU will suck your battery as it is 4 cores [3 of the cores sleep for battery optimization in note 2].
1) Take backup of your messages and pictures.
2) Remove Memory card if any.
3) Format your cellphone.
4) And run your note2 on a fresh run that is Don't install anything, dont restore your backup. And just use it and check how much battery backup you are getting. You should get 2 to 3 days [If you have less Call time ratio].
5) For quick check [Battery drain time when cellphone is in Sleep mode is 1% per hour]. So if your getting more in a fresh run then something is bad.
6) Do post me your results. I really hope you come up with a good news and have a good time.

Joey, 20 Mar 2013I love my Note 2...best camera,fast and its really a beautiful phone :) really happy with my buySame experience to me and the battery lasts in 48+ hours. Don't know why some people complaining about battery.

I have tried all battery saving options but in vain. I even spoke to Samsung service people here they say u its all ok and wait for the next update. I really feel cheated by Samsung. my hard earned money got flushed off. wrong decession.

Although a 5.9" (rumoured) note 3 with a 720p screen would only be about 240ppi which you could see especially when reading text. I think the note 3 needs 1080p whick would be over 350ppi.

Now he's trashing everything about the Note II in the XZ forum, especially how limited and terrible Super AMOLED is. Strange thing is, he still keeps and uses the Note II. Probably for battery reliability of the Note II.
The Xperia Z has a spasmodic battery at best, especially from overheating. The 24 hours+ some people report has only less than 5 hours of screen time (as reported by actual users XDA Developers forums.). It would be even less if it uses Internet radio, torrent downloads or as a wifi hotspot.

If i use it, it takes about 3 hours to charge, if i use my lighte note charger its more like 4.5 hours.

I have myself compared Xperia Z in one hand with my NOTE2 in the other. I bet the contrast ratio & the brightness on NOTE2 is anyday better den the Xperia Z, it doesnt even come close. Moreover 1080p resolution sounds good but on a 5 or 5.5" screen size its very difficult to differentiate between 720p & 1080p. These resoltions matter more on a tablet, laptop or a LED in my opinion.
No offence to anyone. Thats just my personal opinion.

I think thats the standard time for all. If ur battery life in routine is perfect and it takes more den 3-4 hrs to charge then definately somethingz wrong with your charger. My S3 also had the same problem, so i started using my blackberry charger on it. LOL... Since then its working perfectly alright.

The phone has never froze on me once, ... moreThe only ones in denial of the excellent heavy usage 20 hours+ power stamina of the Note II are some bent on something like the Xperia Z. I can't deny it looks nice & is like a waterproofed device. Numerous reviews points out that the battery screen time to be just around 5 hours - and that doesn't include downloading torrents, internet radio, bluetooth connection or gaming. It needs to practically everything while the screen is off just to say that they have power for the day - basically not using it often because the 1080p screen and kernel management is inefficient when in use.
The Note II, despite not being waterproofed and not 1080p (do you honestly say that you can't read the text on a 720p screen of the Note II?) is an excellent, versatile and heavy usage reliable performing device.
