I have seen to many shattered iphones to know that they aren't that strong... the iphone 5 with the metal back is stronger but it also scratches easily unlike polycarbonate.
I agree that the old nokias where incredibly strong, i had nokias from the 6120 to the N82 and they are still going strong.
ps, if you dropped your phone 80 times i would go to a doctor to check for parkinsons or something.... just saying.

I trust that over these "drop tests" I keep hearing about.
Unusually fast reply time, as expected. I notice some of these sites that extol certain technologies seem to have resident trolls. Also noticed that the few other negative reviews were treated with similar hostility. I won't bother replying again; people who are really looking for information before they buy will scroll through all the comments.

Drop tests show that the Note 2 is equal to phones such as the iphone 5 despite having a much bigger 5.5" screen. Also, the build quality is rock solid (unlike the original note) with no squeaks or flex.
The Droid OS is amazing; I just wish I had gotten it on a more durable phone like the Razr Maxx I replaced this one with. The Note II is made to be dropped--it's seriously like the thing is oiled before it leaves the factory-- and it will crack very very easily, and stop working shortly thereafter. I know this from experience, and I expect better from a $700 piece of technology (I don't want to hear this crap about I should have paid another 30 dollars for a semi-protective case that should already be on the phone when you buy it, I mean, come on it replaces the battery). As someone who has owned everything from the Nokia 3360 (indestructible) to the Iphone 4, this is the most expensive and least durable phone I have ever seen, by far. The stylus and note-taking features were the initial draw for me, but the program for taking notes is setup very poorly, and you can't take notes on a phone that doesn't work. Now I am just sad I wasted my upgrade on this "phablet"; so much so that I elected to pay 200 for a refurbished Motorola, rather than paying for the Samsung repair. I will be getting a Xyboard for all my note taking, internet surfing needs (which, by the way, is also cheaper than the Note II).
Also, Samsung has very bad customer service, and is known for cheapening out on their products. It takes a class action lawsuit (literally) to get them to address their own design flaws.
This is why I always wait a month after receiving something new before I go posting reviews.

[deleted post]Calm down! I never said I was unhappy. I am pointing out areas that need to be improved. There is no point in worshiping a phone. It is not a member of the deity. A progressive manufacturer will always strive to improve shortcomings and a better device. Everyone benefits when this happens. You worshiping the phone is akin to the worship of idols.....and that is a sin!
Thanks very much for responses. Your all wonderful people. Lets keep sharing and learning together. Your the best!
Which one is good note 2..?
china ,korea or vietnam..
what abut china model..
A lesser gripe of mine is the lack of stereo speakers in such a large phone. Classics like Nokia's N82 implemented stereo speakers half a decade ago! Stereo definitely improves sound quality. Samsung should remember that not everyone wants to listen to audio through headphones.
Please friends how will I do upgrade in my note 2? I just received a message for upgrade to jellybean 4.1.2. Please give me step by step procedure on how to do that. Thank you.
I bought SGN II after my SGN I was stolen last year. Anyone who has a workable idea of how I can find my stolen phone will be greatly appreciated.
I've had II for only a few days, yet already I am seeing limitations. For instance you cannot delete one saved internet page at a time. You are only allowed to delete all simultaneously.
Secondly, the QWERTY keyboard is impossible to use at a reasonable pace. Snail-paced input is the only chance one has to enter text accurately. I used the QWERTY both in portrait and landscape modes with disappointing results. A Blue tooth keyboard beckons.
It must be said that although on-screen keyboards make for a slimmer device, they are impractical for professional use.
