mohanraj1219, 28 Jan 2013Can i connect WD My Passport 1tb hard disk to my samsung galaxy note 2 please answer meA portable hard disk usually has an NTFS file format. You need to have a rooted device, an OTG USB dongle connection (or the desktop connector), the portable HDD has to be powered and an app like Paragon to work.
I did that with my Note 1. The old OTG (On the Go) USB connector MIGHT not work (disclaimer!) as the Note II, Note 10.1 and S III have a 9-pin instead of the 5-pin connection before. I gave my old OTG to my wife with the Note 1 before I could test it. Anyone tried this and worked? I know the old HDMI connector dongle doesn't work on the Note II.
