Diplomacy is the only way to effectively get facts and sensible ideas accross. That's how people start believing you. I research when I have questions on how to Note well. Some of the things I write are stuff I discover by fiddling with the device.
One topic that isn't covered much is security of your device. My younger brother was mugged at knife point and he lost his less than a week Note II. That got me thinking. How do you prevent that yet you can still maximize it? We can start that discussion right here. What is the best security app out there?
Another topic is making art with your Note. I've done some. It' small enough to be handy to be able to sketch anywhere.
Thank you for appreciating my posts. It's only been 2 weeks.

Bunyip22, 25 Jan 2013Thanks for that, I rarely go below 20% but every night it charges to 100%.
With the Note 2 ... moreSince my Note II is barely 2 weeks old, I'm implementing this practice of putting the charge between 20 to 80%. (For new readers- please read my last post)
There are available power timers for that by estimating and setting when the charge reaches 80%. Yeah, it's a hassle for the sake of prolonging the battery capacity. This is where the extra battery comes in handy or probably a portable power bank.

With the Note 2 i normally have 30-50% of my battery left after 15 hours of use :-)
l'm definately goin 2 buy dis fon,2Gig RAM,1,6GHz Quad Core,who wil resist dat,2 hell wit Apple i5
Here's an interesting battery management practice on how to prolong the battery replacement life of any device. It's not to mistaken on how more power but the prevention of its inability to hold optimum power.
Contrary to what I knew of constantly keeping my battery power at least 90%+, the Android Guy said the sweet spot is keeping your battery between 20% to 80% to prevent the inability to hold more power in the months ahead. That's why you see a feature in the newer laptops cutting the charging at 80% to prevent damage to the battery. Never understood that till now. Going under 20% or deep discharge will also shorten the life of your battery. With this practice, you will double the lifetime of your battery.
This is justification for me to get that extra battery + charger pack. That sweetspot of 60% zone, and having a rate of my moderate usage of 2 hours per 10%, that gives me only 12 hours between charges.
Here's the original video:
Ar Mo, 24 Jan 2013hi i have provided a galaxy note 2 3 days ago and as you know there is gadget in the left side... moreIf you mean the multi view. Try holding the capacitive return botton and the virtual tab will show. Same thing as hidding it back and you can actuall move it on any of the 4 sides of the screen by dragging it. Look it up in youtube and you will see how cool it is.
One thing about the note n7000 i had before is that the option to move apps to sd card is there and it is a great feature. I lost it when i updated it to jb. Now after trading it off and getting the n7100 ,which is having jb,that feature is not there. I cant understand why samsung removed it.its a simple function but of great importance. I hope they will bring it back in future updates.n7100 is a remarkable devise and it will be even better being able to move apps especially if you put a 64gb mem card inside it.
TheNeighbor, 24 Jan 2013If you are within 6 months of after purchase, i believe you can have the S Pen changed. If not... moreNo no, the only problem he have is that the tip is dirty, so the tip get stuck and it then registers as press as soon as the s-pen is within Airview distance. Keep the pen clean and it will not happen.

My advice, use your warranty first to avoid the tedious operation of opening up the S Pen.
Rip, 24 Jan 2013This is to the neighbor. I just want to say that with all the comments and stuff i've read you... moreI've written on the Note I commentary pages often... before. The Note I was nothing that had came out over a year ago. I was quickly drawn to it because of the S Pen and software support for it. I wrote about sketching with it here:
I'll post some of my art pieces with the Note II soon. The Note II's S Pen had a better profile for handling now. I would have never gotten the Note if it hadn't this Wacom active stylus. I would have gotten the Motorola Razr HD Maxx for features combination and battery life if the Note didn't exist.
I'm just satisfied with what it has to offer. This isn't for all, but I'm glad some "ordinary" users are starting to see the usefulness of the S Pen with work. I've done some of my teaching slides with the S Note connected to a projector sketching some points. It's fantastic. I don't have to carry around a laptop to do the production of those.
I've been researching about the AllShare Cast dongle to live connect to ordinary HDMI TVs and projectors wirelessly, mirroring whatever you have on your screen. It's only P3800 in a store in SM-MOA.
Samsung struck gold with coming out with this. Contradicting others who say it's too big to pocket, I can still put it in on the top pocket of a Columbia shirt.
