If you compare you will know the differe... moreIf u have htc one s as well u can use it for reading if u like it a lot .i pesonally found out that the note 2 screen is much brighter and without any pixelization compaired to other high end smart phones i like to browse ,play powerfull graphics games and the best part is the screen on this device is 5.5 inches not too small not too big just perfect for everything with good battery backup again compaired to other smartphones It saved my money for psp ,a good camera,tablet etc.only galaxy note 3 can beat this device.

Think a lot.I updated through kies (not kies air).. just connected the phn nd it said new version available.. its JB 4.1.2 not 4.2 I guess.. no noticeable difference now and then... everythng is same.. so dnt worry even if u r unable to update

I said u wil nt JUST make calls nd text, thr r many things to do with note 2!!! .so it consumes more battery.. battery is powerful but I hv to charge it daily. I use my phn quite often..

my note2 was taking too long to recharge. I changed the cable that connects the charger to the mobile, and now it is working fine
same problem happened with my friend and the problem was with the cable, it seems to be a global problem

Hi...I am Saket from Delhi(India). I am getting an update via OTA. Can anyone suggest if I install this update will there be any issue or lag. I heard that in S3 when people update there OS their battery drained very quickly. So, if there is any issue in the updated software I'll not update mine. Please advice.

If you compare you will know the difference for even the AMOLED type of screen. Reading on blue or white background is personal preference but many people will go for white background with good level of contrast

AnonD-79620, 06 Jan 2013One month usage now.. looks not bad at all as I thought earlier.. go with white I suggest.. ba... more1) there is nothing wrong with making calls or texting with the note 2.
2) the battery life is great. It is about twice as good as my note. If you sync 3 emails plus constantly sync weather, widgets, news, dropbox etx any phone will struggle to make it through a day. I typically have no problems getting 16 hours with moderate usage. Even heavy usage will do 10-12 hours.

One month usage now.. looks not bad at all as I thought earlier.. go with white I suggest.. battery life is average. Dnt get amazed by 3100 mah.. its one day battery life after full power saving options activated..but with good usage also..obviously if hv bought note 2 u wil not just make calls nd text with it..!!thr r many things to do.. camera is avg.. earphones supplied in box are avg, so music exp is avg.. (avg keepin in mind a vry expensive phn) , s pen is totally useless(for me).. phn is vry fast. Install any amt of apps any size. . All run smooth. Got hang 2 times till now wen I had to restart the phn.. no need to remove battery thr is restart button as in pc.. location services are amazing, super fast and totally precise

I have been waiting in Australia for the price to come down and they have put it up. So I have now purchased an EZIO from Hong Kong for $250 and it works fine.
Apple and Samsung can keep their overpriced smartphones.

When trying to connect it gets to obtaining IP addres... moreI found the answer to the widi network disabled poor connectivity problem.... you need to turn off the special service mode.
To do this:
Step 1: Open Phone app and then dial *#0011#.
Step 2: Once you dial, it will open a special Service Mode.
Step 3: Now tap on menu button and go to Wi-Fi.
Step 4: Tap on ON button to switch it to OFF. Exit from the menu, and you are done.

I have a problem with my Note 2 wifi.
When trying to connect it gets to obtaining IP address and then comes up with the error "Network Disabled. Poor Connection"
The wifi is full strength.
I have removed wifi and reconnected.
I have reboted the phone.
I have done a hard reset twice.
I have tried different routers.
I have removed router security and changed to b/g, g and or b.
I have found hundreds of other posts mainly relating to the SGS3 and Note 2.
