This says it'll have Exynos 5250 and that it's quad core. But both these are wrong, as Samsung's new name for the 5250 is the Exynos 5 Dual, which is obviously dual core, not quad core. http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisite/Exynos/products5dual.html

Anonymous, 08 Aug 2012i m already using samsung galaxy note n7000 and it is quite slow as compared to others samsung... moreslow? what are you running on it? the note is still a top phone out i dont understand how it could be "slow" because there are no apps out there that even start to take advantage of the dual core little lone quad, quad phones are useless at this point in time all you need is a dual core people are getting excited about the "quad core" because it sounds faster due to the more cores but in fact the dual core LTE phone actually run faster and better then the quad core none LTE and there wont be LTE quad core for quite a while

Mine is very fast. Have you rooted your phone? I suggest installing a custom rom if you have not already as that will greatly speed up your phone and will even extend the life of it's battery as it will get rid of bloatware.

Johnny, 06 Aug 2012Yup my friend.. I use samsung galaxy s2.. And a 4s.. I saw ur previous comment. Battery of ip... moreYes my Friend, my sister got the S3 and you are right. I don't like the new shape, White color is quite ok but not the blue.

the SHAPE of the new S3 is more on Feminine side. S2 is better, very plain, neutral and simple. I just wish that the Note 2 will keep the style of its first version.

Anonymous, 08 Aug 2012i m already using samsung galaxy note n7000 and it is quite slow as compared to others samsung... moreOne of the major reason why your gNote runs very slow is "Bloatware". Samsung got lots of this bloatwares that runs on your background, consume your Memory and battery and it is very annoying. Very simple solution is go to task manager and Kill all running applications and Clear Memory. Hassle but You'll get used to it.

Other or Permanent Solution is to gain ROOT access to your phone and delete bloatwares or unnecessary applications. This will give space on your storage/memory and lower down task of your handset which will result to gain of speed and responsiveness. Also, just install applications that is necessary for you.

Take note: you have to feed your self with knowledge if you're going to root your phone, just make it right everything will be fine, make it wrong, you'll have your self a bricked and useless phone. Also, Rooting your phone will void warranty.

One more thing, if you're going to connect your phone to USB either to charge or use it. Always remove the USB with the screen lights on after using it, lock or unlock is OK but with lights ON. This will stop the background process. If you just remove it without turning the screen on, you'll notice that the battery drain faster.. Other solution is a quick reboot after using it with USB.

Just a few advice =)

Ronen, 08 Aug 2012Well, these are outstanding specs. BUT, would be better with 2GB RAM, rather than just 1.5GB.... moreThe Galaxy S3 in South Korea has 2 gb ram and also quad core

Well, these are outstanding specs.
BUT, would be better with 2GB RAM, rather than just 1.5GB. I guess they ran into some technical barrier of accomplishing this. This even lacked from the Galaxy S3, which remained with the same 1GB in comparison to the S2 model. Now this series fixes the thing. (assuming all details here are true and real)
Camera also begged for improvement over the S2. Hoping it maintains at least the same speed and features of the S3.
Now for the uP: Exynos 5250 is a real leap forward. What makes me suspicious about the accuracy here is that it is defined here as 4 cores. As far as I know, it will be 2 cores, but with performance far exceeding that of the Exynos 4412 with its 4 cores - by all aspects (including speed and bus bandwidth accessing the RAM). I guess they sufficed with 1.3GHz due to the power matters - this chip can handle 2GHz!
Pity it is not designed for it here. Perhaps there is a slim chance they'll leave it for overclocking ? Who knows.

Ohh, yes, nearly forgot to mention how great is a 5.5 inches screen. A screen with such high resolution simply demands that many inches. To whom it may not be comfy enough - there are other models on the market. If one doesn't do any that delicate or pixel sensitive work on the phone/computer, he/she may suffice with a less machine-powered device. Just remember that this is only 0.2 inches larger than the first model of this series. There is no logical reason for size reduction. It enters the pocket very nicely and smoothly!
