Sorry folks bad news for those of you on carrier version rogers. Those using note n7000 sgs2 lte motorola radz and xperia t will have to wait till early mid or late february to receive thier jelly bean update. Its so unfortunate but not only to you carrier versions but to us also on the original versions. No word about our update yet.samsung is really not treating us well
Lalit.jangid, 17 Jan 2013i have note 7000 with update jelly bean 4.1.2 its amazing.... now look like is NOTE 2Unfortunately, the only 800RAM+ and the dual-core processor of the Note isn't enough for the more multi-tasking. I have tried 3 versions of it, and the lag is very much there.
I flashed back to at least the pre-released "official" unrooted version of the 4.1.2 to avoid some instability issues.
when i reset My note the emei got dissapear and now cant access the network.. how can i make this correct.. help me
i have note 7000 with update jelly bean 4.1.2 its amazing.... now look like is NOTE 2

ayushj, 16 Jan 2013I know abt it n i have updated that once by flashing through odin but the fact is that the cus... moreIt IS NOT a custom rom. This is the official pre-release rom from Samsung.
I'm running this version on my Note1 and it's fuctions are without any flaws.
It has Project Butter, the S-pen works just fine as does the split-screen and pop-up video, etc.
I'm talking about the N7000XXLSA build.
As far as I can compare it's quite similair to my Note2 running 4.1.2. only a little slower though ;)
catt4u, 16 Jan 2013There are many pathetic people here who keep whining about an update. If all of you whining... moreI know abt it n i have updated that once by flashing through odin but the fact is that the custom rom was buggy n s pen features does not supported on it so thats why i hv downgrade to ics n wait for official release so keep that info to urself
ayushj, 16 Jan 2013No jelly bean yet...... Long time waitingThere are many pathetic people here who keep whining about an update.
If all of you whining people would take the effort to read all of the comments, you would know there is a JellyBean 4.1.2 update which you can put on your NOTE1.
I've wrote about it a month ago together with the link where you can get the update and how to install it!!!
So please stop whining, read the comments and install JellyBean 4.1.2.
It works like a charm on the NOTE1, nearly the same as on the NOTE2.
koushik, 16 Jan 2013is ICS available in india? how is battery backup? Yes it is I myself hv done upgrade to ics its awsum... Go for it...
Other units will boast of their higher res camera, another about how smooth the user interface that brand has, how brand X has such high frequency quad-core, and still another will boast about how much pixels and ppi it has. You will hear ignorant brand fans talk how bad the Note is compared to what they bought.
I am someone who appreciates innovation like what Samsung has combined an excellent mix of power, vivid image recording, vivid screen, useful stock utility apps like S Note, and the Note series is the only one that has a true active Wacom stylus system which I use often since the first Galaxy Note for sketching and working out architectural designs. No way anyone can convince me something else to spend on or swap with.
Heck, I'm never only an exclusive Samsung branded device user. I use an HTC Chacha for a secondary phone while commuting as a safety precaution. I have the street sense not to flash around the Note while walking alone at night. A Sony Smartwatch does the job of reflecting and answering messages, music control.
