Andejoxxx, 19 Sep 2012is there any update for ics 4.0.4 in KSA?The ICS update is a bit hefty on the data size, so you unfortunately will not be able to receive the update over the air (OTA). Rather, you will have to fire up Samsung’s proprietary Kies phone-PC interfacing software. If you don’t have it yet please download it and know how to Update your Samsung AT&T Galaxy Note here http://www.careace.net/2012/07/10/how-to-update-samsung-att-galaxy-note-android-4-0-ics-2/

I updated my note yesterday with latest update. I have to say it looks more awesome now. But i have a doubt, how do i add folders in menu. I can see option to add folder in home screens but not in menu.
Also what is lock screen camera access?

Lame phone. After 1 months of using it, No root, no any app installed, no microsd with ICS 4.04). The note keep rebooting randomly during calls or handling. And sometimes it keep reboot for more than 10 times during power on(after the samsung logo animation), only I can power it up into the main lock screen. I have try to factory reset, cache wipe the some problem still there. I can see this kind of problem anywhere in the forum such as XDA. Stupid phone.

I just love Android! You can almost do anything with the main page interface. I've reconfigured my Note to make it as minimalist as possible. I got Nova Prime (paid app) to add in finger gesture shortcut commands for my most used apps.

I used Thalion's Disc Widgets for my main page interface. Benefits from this are clean look, important and most used app triggered with finger gestures on screen, slightly added security and privacy as no immediate interface seen, lower power consumption of screen as illuminated area is small. NoLED app is used for notifications of missed calls, messages and email.

You can check out my video of the look and how my gesture shortcuts work.

howard, 18 Sep 2012is it phone or is it table, no wait, it is samsung galaxy crap. it is funny how people complai... moreSilly comment. I wasn't mesmerized by Samsung's marketing. The Note was something I imagined to have way back when I had a Compaq Pocket PC in 2003. It didn't have a phone function and I could somehow sketch with it. Yes, it's shocking to know that Apple was not the first to come up with a touch screen device. I didn't buy into Apple's marketing of its iPhone because it didn't have a stylus. No accuracy in drawing something on that tiny screen of theirs.

For that matter, not even the Dell Streak or the Galaxy S II impressed me, all because it didn't suit my need to sketch like with a Wacom stylus pen with levels of sensitivity to manipulate pen widths.

The Note is a versatile portable device that happens to have mobile phone functions. It was designed to the similar size of a Moleskine A6 notebook. My passion lies in sketching and thinking with sketchbooks. So you can imagine my delight when I found out the Note had all the right stuff i needed, despite the initial bad reaction affiliated with the Dell Streak.

You can't dictate your taste and your personal needs onto others. You find the Note "crap"? Fine, your choice. I have since convinced 5 of my fellow architects to get a Note mainly because of the need to sketch ideas.
