Micheal Barbosa, 25 Mar 2012ics 4.0 will not release untill SG3 will realease, this is the strategy from samsung, also not... moreStop it with the negative angle trip. You were saying the ICS will never come to the Note. You have seen what Samsung has advertised for the upcoming update. Gingerbread is fine, but if you don't want the ICS update, shut up. You don't know crap on what will Samsung do. Stop making up predictions. You, I or any consumer is not an authority on what a company will or will not do.

ics 4.0 will not release untill SG3 will realease, this is the strategy from samsung, also note is selling hotcakes, it doesnt need ics 4.0 anyways to boost its sale becos ics will only enchance the note by 5-10%. so note users stay happy with gingerbread, also samsung will release software updates for note to rectify few things, but ics 4.0 luks lik a distant dream.

I got the galaxy note for two weeks now. Sometimes the games app that I download hangs whenever I click on it. I couldn't manage to download any samsung apps or use the S Choice. It keeps asking me to update, which I did numerous times. whenever I try to create an account, a message pops up asking me to update my account. Is the samsung apps and the S Choice good? My S memo, when I try to put a memo and my home page. Its turns out blank. This didn't happen before. When I use the keyboard, with my fingers or the pen, I often click on the wrong letters. The XT9 (predictive text) is not that efficient for me. When I turn the XT9 on, my space bar does not work. This did not happen before. Help please.

I enjoy the clearness of the bright screen of the Note. I carry extra batteries to last me for the entire day without worrying about running out of power or plugging in. I know about the brightness controls.

TheNeighbor, 25 Mar 2012Do you own a Galaxy Note? GB is ok with. It runs fairly good. The big tip for battery life on the Note is to dim the screen. It's huge and consumes a lot of power. Web browsing tends to use more battery than watching videos for example. It uses less prossessing but many web pages have white backgrounds and that is the killer.

Handy tip: swipe left and right in the notification bar at the top to change screen brightness.

[deleted post]The retail price with SME warranty is RM2299. If you need more warranty period (additional 2 years), you can get one from SenQ outlets. I bought from there too. More convince with the product resources.

hi

regarding battery, if u just remove / uninstall antivirus and automated taskkiller apps, then just notice the improvement in battery, keep wifi off, and 3g inactive when not in use, go to 2g instead, when not using 3g data services.

i did so, and my battery improved from 1-1.5 days to 2.5-3 days.

sachit.

Wanted to wait 4 SG3 which is going to be announced after about 2 and a half months, but I think am in love with the note. Even if the SG3 have a quadcore the software is still not that mature to fully utilze it, and the screen wont be as large as the note, guess thats ma main reason for not waiting for thr SG3.

IT Geek, 24 Mar 2012Battery life for galaxy note cant last for more than 2 hours of playing apps...kinda failI went on a gaming binge with my Note, and my battery lasted 4 hours with a combination of Dead Space (1h40min) and World of Goo (40min). The rest of the time was spent internet surfing using Dolphin browser. I would expect this to be normal if you using heavy processing graphics apps like Dead Space. I've been monitoring different scenarios with my unit, and taking screen shots of my battery usage, which varies from 4 hours to 18 hours per battery charge. 50%+ always goes to screen usage. I'm a moderate to heavy user. Of course this could go for 2 to 3 days if you only lightly use it for calls or text. If you want gaming, go for the real gaming gadgets. This is a phone, after all, with extra stuff.

IT Geek, 24 Mar 2012Battery life for galaxy note cant last for more than 2 hours of playing apps...kinda failI generally charge my Note every couple of days. General usage is 4 hours music over bluetooth and about an hour or 2 general surfing on top of just generally playing bout with various apps to see what is good.
Happily watched a couple of films between charges but that did drop it to under the 2 day mark.

Really impressed with the battery life.
