FactMan, 21 Mar 2012the rule for charging the battery once drained is not true with batteries any more, it was onl... moreYes, true, you need not drain all for the lithium-ion battery. I do it for maximum battery life cycle. You see, the less times you plug in, the better for the battery. To put my understanding of what happens when you charge your battery simply - a substance is formed that reduces battery capacity is accumulated slowly every time you charge.
I am on the move most of the time. So, swapping batteries is more efficient than plugging in. It reduces the possibility of theft or loss due leaving it to plugging it in somewhere.
micheal barbosa, 21 Mar 2012note will never get ics updatewhy to wait for ICS? root the note and put whatever you want ..
how great is this note? should i buy this or wait for latest phones launched at MWC-2012..?? AFAIK new phones launched they only have quad core processors extra rest this note has everything.. i would like a second opinion though .. thanks!

I work for Orange, in design and can happily state this is 100% accurate
between Sony Xperia S vs Iphone 4S vs Samsung galaxy note
Sony has advantage of Camera pixels more 736x552
Iphone 4S has advantage of iOS
but SG Note has all in one and above all better prices

Just bought the international, unlocked version of the Note. I love the touch response and find typing on the QWERTY to be surprisingly alright. This is my first touchscreen phone and I had misgivings about whether I could thumb-type reasonably quickly on a touch. After typing with the Note, my conclusion is that a hardware keyboard is not needed. Proper QWERTYs are only necessary for laptops & desktops. Putting a hardware keyboard in the Note would make it too heavy.
The large screensize is great for multimedia and one adapts quickly to it.
The Pen Tile screen is not much of a negative attribute because of the high pixel density. The screen gives the user a vivid encounter with visuals.
I have reservations about the camera. Nokia's old N82 5MP cameraphone gives sharper, vivid shots. It's hard to believe that the still cam is really 8MP.
I'll write more on my findings as I continue to live with the phone.
micheal barbosa, 21 Mar 2012note will never get ics updateHow do you know this ? ? ?
ijustwanttoknow, 21 Mar 2012actually when is the right time to charge this kind of phone??, is it until the battery was to... moreThe best way to prolong your battery is to charge when drained, and with the phone off. If you don't like bit, and keep worrying about losing data or not being to use your unit when not close to any charging points, invest on at least an extra battery and desktop charger. Cycle your batteries when at 1%, and charge the drained one at home. It beats carrying a charger and waiting for your phone top charge up.
