[deleted post]What I am getting at is, competition makes better things. But to say that your phone is better is very opposite. We all have seen that the latest surveys tell us the IOS has more hangs that Android. The Note is more and does more if you don't know what it means to us Android users. I can understand that you would be stubborn to switch to something else since Apple came up with the iPhone you obviously love. I would if I had only known Apple.
[deleted post]An Apple fan boy giving advice to an Android user..!? What, you came here to check the competition to make yourself feel superior with what you bought? The 4S was a correction of the iPhone 4, which had much problems. Of course it's better now. We all know how some people fought in USA court to force Apple to provide free antenna fix, or rather retro fit it.
Yeah, we heard it (4S) now has Gorilla Glass. What, from all those drop tests on YouTube were doing, since the 4 had been shattering it's glass? Wow, it even now has an 8 megapixel camera!

I don't see the banding as a real issue, though. Never noticed till you said it :) anyway, this is one hell of a smart phone, been using it for a month now and no grudges whatsoever.
Battery life is OK for a device like this, lasts me a day of moderate to heavy use. Just know your phone and know how to use it and it will pay big time.
My only itch is the back cover closing mechanism; could've been way better. It just feels as if it'll break right off, agree with you on this.

i've had the note for about 20 days now. I found out that if on wi-fi and disconnect the phone keeps rebooting until i can turn off the wifi. What could be the reason? Please help.

I have previously provided those links. I don't know why whatever source you read denies that.
Phenomenal battery life for a capacitive + inductive touchscreen phone. Lasts almost 2 days on normal usage. Of course, if using the phone for display and processor-intensive applications, the battery life may not last that long.
But it doesn't have Gorilla Glass, the official Samsung site never said so. But you guys here assumed so. To prove, there's a real deep scratch that landed on my screen, out of nowhere. I have always handled my Galaxy Note with the utmost care and love. ;]
Nothing much else to say except it's just the right phone for me, having such terrible eyesight due to the nature of my work. Never have Samsung made such a great impression in me. Oh, and the bundled earphones with mic and volume controls, totally blows every other bundled earphones to shame!
the note is good but having a 1.4 ghz processor it is slightly slow than the s2, where as the s2 is very fast, once I uploaded apps bcoz of the load it started working slow...i dont know if it is am issue with my handset or it is an issue with the 2.3.6 version it comes from & also it tends to overheat at times & battery life is pathetic...samsung needs to work on its battry life like the HTC handsets...otherwise the phone the clarity & experience is just awesome incl the video quality & the size of the screen....the phone is extremely awesome ...a must buy for all.

What white color background flickering?! THERE IN NONE! It already has a 285 ppi density and you see it not so clear? You compared it to the LG2x with a 4" screen and 230+ ppi?
I would love to have a smart phone from 5.5" to 6" that I can carry around in a carring case while using my blue tooth to answer calls. Also would love to have a side out QWERTY. If I can have this in a smart phone then I dont need one. I would just get a regular phone and buy a tablet (7"). but thats not what I want. I want to carry only one item. Being a male I dont carry a purse around with me.
sudheesh, 20 Feb 2012super, phone disply clarity osm...Its a pentile, so what are u comparing the clarity to? Other AMOLED phones? Put it beside an old LG 2X and weep, now thats what i call clarity. And correct colors. And NO COLOR FLICkERING on white background! We just have to admit it, Galaxy Note has a defective display.
Maybe SGS3 will be the first Samsung to successfully use AMOLED technology, Nokia already beat them to it, the Lumia 900 has a true amoled, no pentile amtrix.
