I checked via OTA on software update on my GALAXY NOTE few days ago and guess what? I now has an additional numeric button on the fifth rows (top) on the samsung virtual keyboard. I am so happy. This is not ICS update. Just a build update I guess. Try it for those of you who haven't done so.
went to smart, apply for plan 2k. approved after 15mins. use the phone directly, after 3 days got no internet connection, went to csr to exchange the phone. after the exchange i never have problem... battery drains after 4 hours due to internet usages... so far this phone is great.... downloading or uploading superb... recommend this phone...

There is no need after seeing all the torture tests on YouTube. Galaxy Note has even the Gorilla Glass 2, which is even much tougher. I'm waiting for Otter's rubberized Community series instead. The sides and back are more proned to dents and scratches than the screen glass! I want those corner bumper protection.

Smart Lock Lite is an Application & Media locking app. It's not a replacement messaging app. You can keep your Handcent Sms app with you. Just use the Smart Lock Lite app to lock your apps like Facebook, Email, Handcent, etc.
You can also lock Media such as Images & Videos using Smart Lock Lite. Once locked, the images & videos would only appear inside the Smart Lock Lite app and not in your gallery.
I hope you got what I have been tring to convey!
TheNeighbor, 23 Jan 2012I already tried 2 different screen guards with resulting fuzzy white rendering of the rich HD ... moreHahaha. The one you are talking about, my friend, is a matte-finish anti-fingerprint scratch guard. Whereas, I am talking about a really different thing here!
Ask the shopkeeper for a non-matte finish screen guard. He'll give you one that is completely transparent and doesn't affect your viewing angles & screen quality.
Look for Casemate or iAccy screen protectors. You can get one for about $3-4. Moreover, they help reduce reflections and some which are of higher quality don't even get smudges.
So, go give it a try. It really doesn't affect your visual experience & $3-4 isn't too much IMO!
