heavy user king, 29 Dec 2011when you say iphone is "almost" trouble free... what does it mean...they still "... moreSince the iPhone units have been open to the competition carrier here, both have dived with their offers. Imagine paying for the iPhone for $58 for a monthly $46 unlimited data plan locked for 24 months! I have the same plan but I got the Note for free and with one month waived! That's how they are valuing the iPhone more than the Note. A lot of people aren't sure what does better.
Even if the iPhone's price and plan is slashed in half, I'm still sticking to the Note. I can't settled for anything less than the Note's vivid screen, performance and functions.
TheNeighbor, 29 Dec 2011This is to respond to Heavy User King's question I from the IPhone 4S forum:
I say thank Go... morewhen you say iphone is "almost" trouble free... what does it mean...they still "hang" once in a while? how would you compare stability of galaxy note to Iphone 4S?
I only tried on Note. and yet to get mine from the carrier's package.
Despise of the cost and carrier charges. would you consider to get the iphone 4S.
really appreciate your feedback since your occupation is quite similar as mine.
This is to respond to Heavy User King's question I from the IPhone 4S forum:
I say thank God there are choices other than Apple units! Apple has stepped up the competition for the last 5 years, and Jobs had forced the phone industry to change to a higher level of portable technology. The IPhone was designed for convenience, trouble-free (almost) and the has the best market. Half the people I interact with everyday owns one. However, I needed something more than those fancy touch interface, and was disappointed when Apple made it expensive and supposedly exclusive. There was only one carrier that carried it and it was still very steeply priced for my need to call and sms.
I never even seriously considered the Galaxy S series with their Super AMOLED screens being bigger and vivid. Enter the Galaxy Note - the S pen is something I have wished portable technology integrated too work similar to Wacom's innovative desktop touch screen digital tablet for digital graphics. I sketch a lot and I am part of Urban Sketchers who do on-location sketching. The Note answers my needs more than any other phone right now. Android is decent and have no problems.
By Far the best phone I have laid hands on. Superb Screen, fast response time, Voice Recognition vs. the SIRI is better and the S-Pen proves very useful when you need it.
I am unboxint it at: http://gplz.com/2011/12/unboxing-samsung-galaxy-note and have linked the specs sheet here at GSM Arena, they cover a pretty good review here thats why I bought the phone on the first place. But to convince you further, I will post a personal review soon on the perspective of why it is a "bang-for-the-buck" phone... Thanks GSMArena!

i want to buy one phone and i am confused which one to buy..my choices are between iphone 4s and galaxy note.
i am artist and i dont use any applications for gaming or anything.
i am currently using iphone 3gs.
I purchased Note on 25th and now experimenting. Seriously, this is excellent device. But, as discussed in forums at length buy many, battery draining is issue. As suggested by Neighbor, I'm in the process of downloading Juice Defender and will see the difference.
In the settings, there are settings for Power saving in which two options are given- System power saving mode, and custom power saving mode. Can experts comment- how good are above settings, any benefits in term of improving battery life?
I can not hide my feeling to share that SAMSUNG atleast could have supplied USB OTG and HDMI cable as standard free accesories alongwith the package. See way back NOKIA introduced N8 and later on E7, in which these are standard supplied accesories. Moreover, charger supplied (in India) is suitable for voltage rating 150V- 240V. Does it mean to buy a new charger if you are visiting USA? See NOKIA /iPhone chargers are always having rating 100V-250V. Why SAMSUNG did not ensure for such simple thing? Bad..
Anyone experience any problem to configure exchange mail on Samsung Note? I am currently using samsung note and HTC Desire HD. No problem to setup my work email using exchange or IMAP on HTC, but unable to do so using Samsung Note.
Have tried at least 50 times with different settings, still doesn't work.
Anyone has any suggestion if I need to change any other settings (Such as security settings etc) in order to receive my work emails on samsung note?
Hi guys , wll like to knw abt itz battery back up,wt complete 100% battery charged, hw much does it last wt complete use, like, phone calls, whts app, internet music and movie.... Guyz plz let me knw, thnx and hav a nice day.
beckon, 28 Dec 2011Juice Defender can't do nothing if you're always tinkering with your Note.I already mentioned that fact more than once. That's why I also keep an extra battery handy as well as letting Juice Defender do its work. Unlike Iphone users, we have the option of changing to fresh batteries without waiting to charge up the phone. I keep my Note practically wireless, since I charge my drained battery with the Note's separate charger either by plugging it to the electrical convenience outlet or with a portable power bank. External battery jackets would make the Note bulkier and the internal battery's life cycles shorter with that constant charging.
