TheNeighbor, 26 Dec 2011I tried looking for the Extended Battery Monitor, but could not find an app with the exact nam... moreSorry Neighbor. It was easy battery saver! Gave you the run around. Dont know why i had that name stuck in my head! Anyway, i went on the market and before i installed it the second time around i decided to dig deeper into the user opinions first. After reading through a good few i could summise that the app was playing up on galaxy devices and some with worse incidences and experiences than mine! I then went and read up on Juicedefender and the general user experiences were pretty positive and impressive. I immediately purchased the ultimate! Cant comment much now on battery savings as my kid just sits with it for hours playing gta 3! I charge it like 3 times a day so not much can be said about the app now. All i can positively say about it is that the options are extensive. Very detailed and once you set it up it just runs. Unobtrusive and efficient thus far as it doesnt take any time to switch on an app that requires the data being enabled. It just detects what is required to make that app work and enables whatever to get it going! Really simple and unlike the other app i used which took a good few seconds to enable data connection! I think it will do my Note a world of good. Will keep you posted. Thanks for the recommendation for this app.

Lightning MacKing, 26 Dec 2011Hi Neighbor. Just a quick question. Which is better, Juicedefender or Extended battery monitor... moreI tried looking for the Extended Battery Monitor, but could not find an app with the exact name at the Android Market. I can't be able too tell you the differences between the 2 apps. I saw the difference when I started using Juice Defender with my Samsung Galaxy Mini. The free version extended my former phone to more than twice its usual capacity. I first tried out the Note without JD for the first 2 weeks and battery just lasted a good 8 hours of usage since I do fiddle with the Note a lot.
With the free JD on, the Note had noticeable battery longevity. I saw the JD Ultimate version had a lot of options like scheduling of your peak phone usage, weekend settings, and what I like about it you can set the frequency it checks for updates. I set mine to check only every 2 hours instead of probably every 5 to 15 minutes. It saves you from frequent distractions if you are busy at work.
