I think this is a total waste of resources...you have a capable processor coupled with the gingerbread OS...but what were they thinking when they fitted it with just a 2.8" screen?!that all messed up the package...a bar type phone where you'll need to have the fingers of a 3 year old to enjoy the experience...

I think Galaxy Pocket will cost more than Galaxy Y. Just having a 0.2" screen doesn't mean it would be cheap. Plus, it has 3GB built in storage. Also, Y series phones are meant to be cheaper.

Phone is thicker than galaxy y.also not looking hot as y.so it should cheap than y.it is a upgrading option for those who using cheap symbian devices and java powered poor handsets.I think y is better.

wth? lots of complain! why dont you make your own mobile phone, if you dont like it? then dont buy it! every phone has its own capabilities...

for decreasing the price more, means upto 3500-4000 rupees for poor peoples like me, samsung can remove wifi, 3G Facility, also just add simple VGA camera instead high pixel camera, make microSD card support upto only 4-8gb
thus price can be decreased by removing low used features & thus poor ppl can enjoy taste of android, bcoz poor people don't need wifi, 3g, high pixel camera, 32gb microSD card support

if the reason is that android apps-games are not much available for small resolution screens, then may be in future developers would make it possible and would creat android apps-games for every type of resolution screens
btw 2.8 inch screen is not small for the poor people like us who are still using Nokia N70, N73 smartphones :p
