Samsung Galaxy Pocket S5300 - user opinions and reviews

I upgraded last year December and 2 weeks after, just before Christmas my problems started. Phone started giving messages of "Network not registered", not being able to receive or make calls. only came right after rebooting the phone, Then on the 21st December the screen just froze and the battery started getting very hot. I sent it in for repairs at Vodacom. To make a long story short got the phone back and did the same problem 3 times after that. Vodacom replaced the phone with a new Galaxy Pocket. You wont believe me but I am having the same problems with the new phone. It makes me believe that there is something wrong with the Galaxy Pocket. Can somebody tell me what to do next. I am getting so frustrated as my job requires me to have phone communication at all times.

jhoriel, 10 Mar 2013i have problem in my samsung pocket S5300,im worried because i cant delete a file which is INS... morego to setting, then account and syncronisation. there turn off instant upload, picasa syncronisation etc.

Awesome phone...Love it going to b one year after i bought it no problems at all...Gr8 value for price nd good camera

i have problem in my samsung pocket S5300,im worried because i cant delete a file which is INSTANT UPLOAD,i have lots of memorable pictures and good application and i dont want to reset it...all saved pictures in my phone,aplication,videos,songs can be deleted but not this one,which is very private and i want to delete.pls help

My SMS always had the same txt, it appears for about 5 times or more. Question: where or what settings will i go? please help me, it always irritates me whenever i am at work or when sleping, it always has same text.

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2013wow, hold on buddy. no one blaming samsung here. fanboy can cooldown a bit. we're saying that ... morewith my experience using this handset, i have no problem at all! i just reboot it once since i bought this about two months ago and it really works fine.. browsing is fast and decent, bluetooth works perfectly, also the music player, though i can't play HD games but still i love this phone! if you're a gamer, then this is not a handset for you.. just sayin' buddy, no hates! :)

tamara, 07 Mar 2013all phone companies also do defective phones (nokia, lg, sony etc) thats why every companies a... moreif you have 50% of the same phone having defect, you should think otherwise. Even the service center is free, it's the time and effort that you cannot repay the customers. So what if you have service center that took you to visit them 3 times and still getting no improvements?
PS: no one is blaming samsung, just this phone sucks big time.

Yeah it may be defective thats why there are service centers so why get mad if you can bring it to service center for free? and Im not mad im just explaining for what is right

also having warranty doesnt mean that they are excuse for producing defect products.

I admit I also experience the same as you ... moreDont think samung can fix the isuses based on a low cost ph.again this morning the alarm was a isuse.this is the second ph of this model ive had as took first one in with same problems.as a working man on the road unable to get to a charger half a day battery life with minimal use is not good.was my fault as i should of forked out extra money for better ph.good ph for school kid or first time user.nothing wrong with samsung brand

sano, 05 Mar 2013i have problem with my phone,the battery doesn't last a day.It now has a month since i bought ... moreget a screen lock and off for when not in use the screen eats battery power also get a battery saver program this will extend the battery life to 2-3 days

I admit I also experience the same as you but that doesn't mean that I should hate Samsung for that maybe that is the issue for some galaxy pockets then bring it in the service center what's the use of 1 year warranty if you will not use it right?
