scorpio, 17 Feb 2020It would be easier and cheaper to carry a small power bank that you easily hook up to your phone.I understand your point and its one way of dealing with no power when your out in the boonies. But after a while your going to have your power bank attached permanently to the phone once the unchangeable battery ages over a year later and dies down to 30% capacity from heavy use. Unless you fork over money and time to send it back to Samsung /service center to change out the battery, for a new one. Which will cost about 100 + cdn dollars. So you have a phone with a battery charging pack and wire hanging out of it. Its not a great way to deal with a phone when your active. The charging cord hangs up on stuff, the charging cable becomes unplugged from the phone in your pocket.
I prefer the two second swap out of the battery's. It also helps if your phone hangs up. You can take out the battery. Then put it back in to reboot the phone.
On my note 4 buy I can a new battery at 16$ on Amazon that is 7500 mAh ..double the 3200 mAh original battery capacity. Cheaper then buying a battery charging bank.

Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key all same time.
When the green Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
Press the Volume down key several times to highlight ‘wipe cache partition’.
Press Power button to select.
Press the Volume down key until ‘yes’ is highlighted and press the Power button.
When the wipe cache partition is complete, “Reboot system now” is highlighted.
Press the Power key to restart the device. That should solve your problem. And like I said in my last comment you can take it to samsung service centre and have it checked by them.
enuma, 16 Feb 2020Do u know if those in Africa have started receiving the security patch? Will it help to stop m... moreHi. You should get the February update soon. Do a factory reset. You can do that in settings. I remember commenting that to you on early post. Just follow the instructions. . Backup all your stuff first. I would advice you not to flash your phone via odin. If not done probably it can brick your phone. So that's not a wise choice. Also check your apps. There could be one misbehaving that's causing the lagging. If all else fails take it to service centre and they will check it for you.

How time flies. Now we have the Galaxy S20. S10+ has done wonderfully well with me and it's been excellent. It's the exynos version. I am planning to upgrade to the S20 Snapdragon this time.. S10+ is still a very good buy at the moment. I recommend it.
