Am doubting on which to get between Samsung s10+ and iphone xs max which is better among the two phones?

BMHater12, 27 Sep 2022Has anyone ever bought the 1TB+12 variant of this?Yes, in white ceramic/rose gold, from the launch date.
Mostly use with a black Rhinoshield case which leaves the back exposed (but sometimes a Ringke Fusion, both with lanyard points or a Gear4 Oxford folio case with 3DO for travel) and there are *no* scratches on the rear ceramic, it's incredible! It actually feels thinner in the Ringke Fusion case despite there a back to it, because the Rhinoshield is by its nature quite wide.
Reduced battery life is just becoming noticeable, needing to top up charge towards the evening after coming off the night stand in the morning, but updates are regular and currently on Android 12 / with a security patch from July 2022. Still has the original screen protector on ;)

S9 is stuck on Android 10 because at that time every Samsung phones got 2 updates
For the S10 they increased it to 3 updates so Android 12 is gonna be the last one
For S21 they increased it to 4 updates so Android 15 will be the last one they get

It's a joke this phone is still... moreTotally agree. Flagship phones like s8/s9 got stuck on android 9/10, yet low-mid phones like A40 got upto android 11!! There is no reason why S10 series are left on android 12, and s10 lite will get android 13.
Oh yeah, planned obsolence... my bad...
I doubt s22 ultra will get 4 OS updates with decent stability , on it's factory OS there've been numerous complaints about laggy experience, not to mention the GOS scandal.
Don't worry about full obsolence, my s8 on android 9 still works amazing, and it's getting close to 6 years of age next spring.
