Super Presh, 25 Jul 2020Is anybody using this phone with a screen protector? How well does it fit the screen?I got a screen protector put on mine in 02 shop. It didn't fit the screen properly. Had to take it off. So bought one on amazon and it fitted the screen. But I got lot of dust in between it. So took it off. I just use a case when out. But im sure others users can help you who have one on thier screen.

There are lots of fake Samsung Evo cards on the market, that's why they made one with green colour for Amazon exclusively. Just look up the reviews on Amazon. Perhaps read what I commented again instead of saying "false advise"...

From 128gb right down to 8gb. Also 400gb , 256gb , 200gb and now 512gb. Sandisk have never let me down. Ive also samsung, samsung evo which are good and have no problems. I have never tried kingston. So i cant comment on that brand.

Then reboot it and then check if its readable. Have you tried unmounting it also? This is just me personally. I never put a new sd card straight into my phone from packaging. I always put it into my laptop where I have a copy of all my media and stuff from my phone. I then move everything to sd and then i will insert it into my phone. As you know it creates all the folders while moving across. But im sure other users have thier own ways. This way always works for me.

ThatDude, 24 Jul 2020Thanks for your help. Do you have any issues recording 4k videos to it?Return it to amazon. Get a refund. Sandisk always give refunds. Ive been getting of them for years. There are cheap sd cards on amazon. For example 512gb in another brand selling for lets say £45 dont buy. Far too cheap for 512gb sd card. Ive seen it on amazon. Thats why i don't mind paying extra for sandisk and samsung because I know i will get good sd cards. Thats why I've adviced you return it. Because the cards are under guarantee. I have been using 400gb in both my tablets and I've had them 2 years and have had no problems. I highly recommend sandisk and samsung sd cards going by my own experience. But sandisk will refund your money.

I also have Samsung 32gb classs 10 with blue"32gb" for 8 years(2012) and it is great too. Maybe is problem with fake cards on online shopping. Because of that all my cards are from real good reviewed shops. If you try to copy too large file for declarated memory 32 or 64 gbs for example and the card is smaller you will brick it if is fake with 8gb instead of 32gb for instance. Also is good to format card that phone understand reading but in your case is probably corrupted or damaged. Try to test it on more places/computers. If you ask me don't buy no name cards for badly smelling low price. There are many fakes Samsung EVO, Sandisk, Kingston...I would reccomend Samsung (Evo) and SanDisk because of "good voice" and I have them both for 8(Sammy) and 4 years(Sandisk). My wife had Kingston 8gb for 2 years and then crashed, but I had other 16gb kingston for 4.5 years (2009 to 2013) and worked fine. Just buy it in shop or from good seller from Amazon(where you can and you will return it-thumb up for that).

When I first powered on the phone, I let it go through all of the the updates from original to July 2020.
Then I tried the card with the adapter with my Macbook 10.14 and another running 10.15 neither would recognize the card. I couldn't even reformat it as it wouldn't mount. So I think I got a bad, corrupted one from amazon.
I just wonder if these really fast V30, 160MB/s sd cards are not compatible with this phone? or maybe it the latest security update??
Has anyone successfully used this card Patriot Memory A1 V30 Card 512GB?

Did you try micro sd in other phone?

I bought the European 1tb version and start was ok, it download a bunch of updates until finally july 2020.
i also bought a SanDisk Extreme 512GB card that it would not recognize from amazon.de. I tried the card with an adaptor on OSX and Linux and the sd card was not recognized so am sending back.
Is there a list of compatible 512gb micro sd cards?
Would something like Patriot Memory A1 V30 Card work?
