Mine in power mode I get minimium of 12-14hrs every day with heavy usage, I stay in Nigeria too. U should s10+ features will require much power to run than tecno, u can't cpare the two spec, the more a phone spec the more the battery usage. The screen resolution alone, tecno can't meet up with Samsung s10+ spec so don't compare just like comparing Nokia 3310, that battery can last for one week? 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 Couple with out networks drain battery because the masts are not built to international standard of 500 metres maximum between two masts

Yes some ways its good to put custom roms in. But other times it doesn't always go well or some clinches ocur. Getting back to your comment should you buy s10 plus. Personally going by my own experience owning s10 plus I would say yes Definitely. But the choice is up to you on whether to buy it or not. Good luck.

Budget phones does ridiculous optimization in their ui that's why they get high battery backup. So, some custom roms as the name stands we can customise anything and it'll be Google's clean os without any samsung apps ( in this case) or anything like preloaded social media apps which we cannot remove. Anyway I'm planning to buy this thing, what do you think? Would it be a bad idea?!

Return it to your dealer and have it checked out.I don't know this brand (Tecno), but I really doubt their phone has the similar specs with the S10 plus (display quality, CPU/GPU, etc), so of course, the better phone will consume more juice than the other (you're sure Tecno is a smartphone? maybe it's just a Nokia 3300 - like phone...I don't know...)

I never make excuses for Samsung because I don't have any. Samsung will always be my favourite brand. That my personal opinion. Each has thier own thoughts on this subject. But ppl can choose and like any brand and that's fine.

Listen peeps, we cannot keep on making excuses for Samsung simply because we're them. In battery department, I can say Samsung is epic fail especially in the flagships.
I use S10 Plus and I'm in Nigeria. Here in Nigeria, there are very affordable android phones like Tecno , Infinix and the likes.
A Tecno phone with 4000mah battery clearly outruns mine even with 4100mah. It's not acceptable. I loose 1% charge every 5 to 6 mins usage...which in my opinion is outrageous.
I had Galaxy A8 plus and with that I could squeeze out 9 to 10mins usage before losing 1% battery and that was 3500mah battery. So how come this one is depleting drastically?
The Tecno I was talking about goes as high as 12 to 15mins before dropping a single %.
It's somehow shameful . Samsung should wake up and get their acts right.

I think if Samsung put 8000mh battery in thier phones it depends how we use it. Let's remember the apps display, and everything that goed into a phone needs battery usage. Its how we use them makes a difference in battery life. No phone will go 4 days without charging. Its impossible.

But we have enough cheap Mainland China goods dumped i... moreWell then is Apple to the Rescue as even on all S20 series and even Note series phones battery drains like hell and that's why I am also thinking of exchanging my N10+ to 11 pro max in the near future as it cannot live even 2 days on a single charge.
