My wife has an iphone11 but I much prefer my s10. Perhaps it is just mind over matter.

Andy, 18 Oct 2019Should I get the s10 or the iPhone 11 Logically if you ask in the Samsung section you will be told s10 and if you ask in the Apple section you will be told iphone11. Try them both and see which one you prefer. I have an s10 and my wife has an iph11. Both good and we each like our own phone.

Unlocking my s10, starting direct secure folder.. annoying...

Cupcakes, 18 Oct 2019Do you mean like your phone's notification sound going off without leaving a clue every 3 minute? You can download an app called "Nice Catch" (comes as a part of official Good Lock bundle) from galaxy store.
It can monitor the followings:
1) Vibration history
2)Ringermode history
3)Callmode history
4)Toast history
5)Detect commercials
6)Screen wakeup history
Try to use this app and figure out what is causing the buzz.
Or Optimize now option in the device care, then clear recent app cards and restart the phone to see anything changes.

I have a problem since yesterday with my S10 ... Got alert going off every 3 minutes ...
It's not “Notification reminder,” ... It stops when I turn on wifi ... but if I goes off when I go out ... turn off wifi, and 4G off ... starts again... so now I've turned off Location .. GPS .. to see if its that ... I've had the phone a month .. no problem ... any ideas ...
scorpio, 14 Oct 2019Hi Tango I remember you from the s4 or s6 if I am correct. Good to hear you again."No Name" :-)

Yes it can, if the other phone has wireless charging built in. But well, it's really slow. It'll come handy when you own wireless earbuds or a smart watch which can be charged wirelessly.
HopsinLTU, 13 Oct 2019I heard that on OLED screen, screen burning can occur. Is that true?
Also, can the s10 wirele... moreYes on OLED screens, burn in CAN occur. But in most cases, the user is the one to blame. I've used OLEDs since 2016 and yet to encounter any burn in.
You can completely avoid such issues if yoh follow a few basic steps.
1) Always keep adaptive brightness turned on.
2) Don’t use the phone at high brightness levels for a long time when using apps with still (stationary/non moving/fixed background elements). For example: let’s take instagram. If you keep using it at maximum brightness for a long time, even though you scroll the home feed, instagram logo sits on the screen at a single spot for the whole duration of the app. It might cause some burn in.
3) it's better to keep the screen timeout value to a minimum as possible.
At the same time, technology keeps getting better by the day. So burn is nothing to really worry about.
HopsinLTU, 13 Oct 2019I heard that on OLED screen, screen burning can occur. Is that true? Also, can the s10 wirele... moreI think screen burn in is now a thing of the past. It used to happen on occasion many years ago but not any longer with modern screens.
