Jay, 30 Dec 2023I think I may just have to stay with my A41 - the battery life totally sucks now, but at least... moreHopefully you get a good deal.
Unless if you want a smaller phone than A41, haven't you looked for the regular S10 (model number SM-G9730)? It has the same dimensions as the A41.
Jay, 30 Dec 2023Thanks, had a look but can't find hardly any - not at a decent price even for the ones I ... moreThis is unfourtunate.
Now it seems that newer models have removed the radio functionality in all variants.

All I'm looking for is a phone that has an FM radio and doesn't have a massive screen - I prefer smaller phones (the A3 2017 was almost perfect!)
Quite depressing that to get the features I want I have to hunt high and low...it shouldn't be this difficult, Samsung! Please listen to your customers and the features they want!
Jay, 27 Dec 2023Thanks for the clarification. So looking at this very page, these are the models listed:

(Side note : SM-G970N is the South Korean variant.)
There are some listings of G9700 in online stores, so you can import one.

"Versions: SM-G970F/DS (Global); SM-G970U (USA); SM-G970W (Canada)"
Is your one a Chinese-only model? Is it on eBay or something?

I bought mine from China, so it's the SM-G9700 model.
The international variant (SM-G970F) doesn't support FM Radio. G970U/G970W/G970N variants used to support FM radio but I'm not sure if they still support it with Android 12 or not.
Anonymous, 24 Dec 2023For the SM-G9700 model FM radio works fine with the latest software update. Thanks for this - what's the current software version you're using where the FM radio still works? And which part of the world are you in? What version of the S10E are you using (as there seem to be a few different variants)?
Bought it new unboxed it. Its very good absolutely fine for the price i am recommending it for kids and for adults or elders as a daily phone.
How well does the FM radio work? I use mine every day on my current phone however I'm looking at this one as I like the smaller screen - but the radio is quite important to me.
Is it true that if you upgrade the software the radio disappears?
I just touched it, and it's so light and thin. Not like 2020+ fat bricks. When do we come back to LIGHT phones?
I like this phone because its shape (compact).I still using it since 2021.
3,5 years, I'm still using this phone. good display & camera. still smooth for watching YouTube, netfix & social media, Well done.

Took 2 hours before finding it in the lake and it was still working fine for me. Used for another 2 years before i changed to another phone.
Had it for a year and a half after my cat made me break my Galaxy S20. I don't know if the battery busted at some point but the battery life sucked. I always had to carry around a charger with me or else it would die at the worst moment possible.
Definitely upgrade if you can, my experience wasn't the best.
Luis, 27 Sep 2023Backpanel glue will give up, probably due to heat, after 2 years.Really? That's funny because I've had mine for 4.5 years, and it's still just fine.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is the best Android phone around.
And, as you may suspect, it has at least one serious issue.
First of all it has a brilliant camera, expansion options, and even the trusty 3.5 mm headphone jack. Software works brilliantly and it even has fingerprint reader.
The size is acceptable, leaning on the larger. But it is still possible to use the phone single-handed. Good, but half an inch would be better!
The processors have PLENTY of power - and yet power is the issue:
That battery is simply too weak. Admitted, I rarely spend much time further than three meters from at plug, but on the road the battery life becomes a serious issue.
Had Samsung been focussed on making phones for users, they'd improve the S10e with launching an Active version - or taking the hardware to the Xcover frame (but NOT the 'uh, let's make the phone bigger, hence rendering it useless with one hand'-approach).
