jack, 19 Nov 2019that's samsung monopoly they will send u virus via update and no phone will last more than 2 years.Nonsense. I have a samsung j5 2017 and it works even better now then when i got it. The 2 android updates that i received so far were awesome, from android 7 to 9 :)
And it is not even a midrange anymore. The high end stuff like s10 should be much better.
All that i can complain about samsung phones is the battery life. This is the thing that becomes worse and worse :)
But performance is good

And has someone experienced the problem I noticed with the edge panel - the apps shortcut in it didn't work most of the time and instead of launching the corresponding app they just closed the edge panel (the same did the Edit link in the panel below the apps shortcuts).
Has someone else experienced it and is there are stable fix for it?

Top of the line versions (S and Note) perform well enough well after 2 years. My current is S8, been using for 2+ years... it has a cracked screen and a cracked back + many dents and dings. No issue with performance. I clean it up occasionally (remove less used apps, unnecessary data).

If the display is ON and playing game for more than 20 min I have felt the device become slight warm. Nothing extreme. I am using it with a flexibel Spigen case so now not feeling any heat.
MI 9T Pro is also a good option.

Been using the S10e for 6 months now and its the best phone I have owned.
Great build quality, small compact, nice colour options
Best display on the market, Bright, accurate, HDR looks superb!
Fast performance, it runs anything even asphalt 9, fornite & pubg maxed out!
Loud stereo speakers, great premium headset in the box
Fantastic all round camera, 1.5 aperture is super bright and clear, video is clean and stable, has many shooting modes, slow mo is awesome, 4k on front camera, can focus very close to subject almost macro
Wireless charging
Great software package from samsung
When you buy this phone you will want the accessories
I'm not saying this is the best phone ever made but it works extremely well and the quality is there easily noticeable. You get all this in a compact one handed device.
My only con is battery life. If you are a heavy user get something else.
I get 5hrs SOT Medium to heavy usage and the truth is Im fine with that, Im left with 20% at the end of the day.

Guys, can someone help me?
I am wondering whether to buy S10E and I have to buy a new phone in a couple of hours.
I looked at S10E in a shop and I noticed two things.
First, the phone was quite warm. I searched the net and there are a lot of people complaining about that. Is it a common problem with this phone?
Second, the edge panel or whatever it is called had some app shortcuts in it - like Google, maps, etc. These shortcuts are supposed to launch an app and it worked a couple of times but most of the times when I tapped on a shortcut (or on Edit below the apps shortcuts) the edge panel just closed and nothing happened. Is this a bug?
Both of these things doesn't look good...
Would Xiaomi Mi 9T or Mi 9 SE be a better option if someone knows?
My old phone broke a couple of days ago and I need to buy one in a couple of hours cause I am travelling after that.

Dominique, 25 Nov 2019Have you owned or even tried one? FYI, it's my daily driver and not just basing my comment on ... moreI have used both. It's a shame claiming to have the best camera phone. P30 Pro can't even beat S10e in camera performance. Video recording is even worse than my much older S7.

Bought this phone on launch day. This is the best phone I've had, I don't like overly large screen phones. The form factor, the camera placement, the battery, gaming, multitasking, just about everything is excellent! The phone is averagely 200 EUR cheaper than it was at launch now so if anyone is interested in it, I'm saying you won't be dissapointed.
