My Samsung S20 suddenly appeared a 1 Green Line near the camera cutout last february 14. made me sell the phone for cheap and switch to A52s 5G.

Has anybody tried the OneUI 6 or 6.1 ports for this phone? How stable are they and is the battery consumption worse than 5.1?
My only regret going S20 is buying a US region phone with a bootloader that's super complicated to unlock making it pointless. I often think about getting a different region S20 to enable rooting and going android 14 etc. I'm just afraid to regret doing so. Or that it isn't worth the hassle. On the other hand, I did only spend like 85usd on my US reg S20.

My understanding is that green lines only really plagued the S20+. On the vanilla S20 it was almost unheard of and I think only because of damage, not software updates. That made me proceed with buying one.

OMikikg, 25 Jan 2025Hi guys. I'm still using this phone today. SM-G981B/DS with 12GB of RAM. An it's sti... moreI noticed that if I schedule a daily restart (4am at night) my screen-on-time increases from 5-6h to 9-10h on my old original battery. The difference is super noticeable.
There seems to be a problem with running it for several days without a restart.
I'm on an older (but mature) OneUI 5.1 version from 2023. The reason is not because it's the best. It's just because I can only manually update (phone outside of intended region) and I don't really see a big reason to update.

Hi guys. I'm still using this phone today. SM-G981B/DS with 12GB of RAM. An it's still perfect phone to use. Sooo compact, perfect cameras, perfect screen, works like flash. Only problem is battery life. I offten need to charge it 2 times per day. But with it's 25W super fast charger no big deal.
Today I recieved software update:
- One UI version: 5.1
- Version: G981BXXSNHXL!
- Size: 227.96 MB
- Security patch čevel: 1 January 2025
I don't know why but i was so happy... :)
And yes, mu secondary phone is second best Samsung phone ever... Note 10+. (it's for havy use and when I don't want to carry external battery with me on trip)
I'm from SERBIA and I do recommend this phone very very much!

I bought a used variant almost 3 years ago and have used it extensively, especially for content creation. From recording and editing to posting, I do all my work on it. It's an all-in-one package for me. I bought it in 10/10 condition, and it's still performing flawlessly.

Hey guys, how are you all doing? Please advise me. I want to get this S20 but I'm scared of the green line issues. But the person I want to buy it from (the vendor) said I should go for it but I shouldn't just update it that the green line won't come then.

I wish Samsung would bring back the micro SD card slot.
